  1. Check out my avatar to see my pro comp 130's. They're 8" diameter and come with 130w bulbs but you can drop the bulb down to 100, 60, or 55 for $5. 4wheelparts carries the lights for I think $40 each.
  2. Hey guys, I just need to check if an 87 uses a different style of swingarm. I know the bearing carrier is different but I'm not sure on the arm. I'll know today and I'll get back to you on your offers.
  3. Maybe you should trade your shocks for an english class.
  4. Mines cracked, I'm looking for a stock or shortened (not more than -2) swingarm ASAP. Thanks, Matt
  5. 370, nice arms and a great offer, but I'm so poor I just need to find something to get by for awhile. SDD, are you willing to sell just the uppers and skip the shipping hassle if I pick them up? Holyman, if you buy 370's arms, would you be willing to sell your old stockers to me?
  6. Hey 370, sounds nice! How much you asking for em?
  7. C'mon, I know somebody on this board must have a set. I'll even take aftermarkets in stock length:D
  8. Everybody's ready...except for Lee. He assures me he's working on it though so its only a matter of time. Oh and dunedemon, thanks for another great prize. That prize bin is looking mighty sweet!
  9. The same reason that pipes cost $500 when they only cost about $20 to make. Its a racket. If bikes came with all the best parts, then there'd be no aftermarket companies. I'm sure there's some kickbacks going on behind the scenes.
  10. I understand the principles involved in each and that you can only go so far with either method before you can't run pump gas anymore. My question is, what kind of power difference would you get with each? For me being at sea level, I can only go down to 20cc domes or so with a +4 advance before I might run into detonation problems. So would it be better to keep the stock timing and get smaller domes?
  11. Do the J arms take the same size bearings/bushings as the A arms? Oh and as an update, I'm trying to convince the Mrs. that aftermarket A arms would make an excellent valentine's day gift So far she ain't buying it. Hey Joe, whatcha want for the bolts? They're $6.80 each from parts fish. But I'd need the whole bolt/washers/nut assembly. As far as the conversion goes, I did a search and I think you need 1" tubing, .090" thick. I've got some 1" tubing that's .115" thick laying around at work that I could steal. 1/4 inch seems a little too thick. Anyone know for sure if the .115" will be okay?
  12. Also are you talking about a drag or a track? Cuz if its a tight and bumpy track the 250r will have a definate advantage.
  13. Isn't there anything left that you could polish up? That's a great way to kill some time.
  14. I've got my computer in the exact same spot. No problems yet but I haven't rolled my shee.
  15. Anybody have some stock length upper A arms laying around? I'm looking for some to replace my J Arms until I can afford some aftermarkets. I'd prefer some off of a newer banshee in good condition. I need the whole assembly - bolts, nuts, bushings, sleeves but I'll take whatever I can get. Thanks!
  16. I've got a J arm frame that I'm planning on upgrading with a A arm conversion. My J arm bushings are crap so I can either replace those with bearings for around $50 or I found a set of stock upper A arms off a 2000 banshee on ebay that I might be able to get for $60 or $70. If I go with the A arms then I'll need to fabricate a conversion - shouldn't be too hard since I've got the equipment and a buddy to weld it, just need to buy the metal and the A arm bolt assembly. Thing is, I was planning on getting some aftermarket arms probably in a few months. So should I buy the stock A arms now and do the conversion, or should I just replace the bushings and do the conversion in a few months when I have the money for some +2+1 arms? I'm currently tearing apart my bike but need to have everything finished before President's weekend. I really don't want to put any more on my plate but it seems silly to spend $50 on bearings that will only be in use for a few months. If I'm doing the conversion, what kinda tubing do I need to buy?
  17. Get the bigger ones. Less resistance and less likely to dig. Just like a basketball rolling across sand vs. a golf ball.
  18. Minkia, you must be a moderator for ebay. Its amazing how much you find! That said, thanks for keeping an eye out for the deals!
  19. Do you have paypal Demon? Sent you an email.
  20. So basically you're always available. Damn who's your sugar daddy?
  21. Filter is all good. I had dual k&n's but I just switched to a 2:1 filter. I clean and oil it after every ride. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll definately incorporate as many of your suggestions as I have time for. I'm debating if I wanna go ahead and strip the rest of the stuff off and repaint the frame while I'm at it. If I can get everything off before this weekend I probably will - its not that much more work.
  22. That would be my guess fro. Sorry to hear about the mishap tit, heal up quick!
  23. Guess I should stop changing mine then.
  24. I've got verizon and I had perfect service at Dumont - better than at home. It seems isolated but its not too far from the 15 fwy so cell phones might work.
