I got my shee back in October and hadn't crashed it until last month. I was getting really nervous because when you don't crash, you know that when it finally does happen its going to be bad. Well I was out riding with some friends and 2 of em took off to go on a ride. Feeling like riding myself I hurried up and put on my gear and went tearing off after them. The trail split to go up either side of a small valley and I took the left path. Within a few feet I ran into some girls and asked them if they'd seen my buddies. They had, on the other trail. Rather than backtrack to the split I just shot off across the brush burning through the gears. Just as I shifted into 3rd a big rut appeared in front of me. Uh oh I'm thinking as I slam the brakes, here's that crash I was dreading... Front wheels dropped into the rut and I jumped as hard as I could in hopes of clearing the bars on my way over. I cleared them and landed on my feet and began taking giant leaps from foot to foot to bleed off my speed. Came to a stop still standing. Okay now how's the bike I thought. Turns out it was just fine. Wheels hit square and I think I'd managed to dump enough speed so nothing even bent. I pulled it out of the rut and fired it up just as my buddies came back down the trail. If your gonna crash, I'd say that would be my favorite kind.

Notice he didn't say that assassinating the evil queen was out of the question.

I'm 99% sure that the power cores don't have a spark arrestor but you can find out by sticking a metal coat hanger through the pipe - if it doesn't hit anything after it enters the midpipe, then it doesn't have em.

I got a desert racing question: How long does it usually take for your balls to catch up with you after you finish? None for me thanks, only way I'd go WOT through the desert is with 10/78 gearing!

Spark arrestors are required at Dumont but I went there without any and they didn't check mine. I think alot of people that are going don't have any and are just crossing their fingers. As with alot of places, if you don't give the rangers any trouble, they won't give you any. Hopefully anyway... Gas is pretty cheap in Norco, not sure on exit names. Jetting will be the same for Glamis. Dumont is about 300-800 feet above sea level. Temperature should be similar. There didn't used to be any fees for Dumont but they did implement a fee for Prez weekend and said that there will be fees for major weekends. For Roostfest, probably will be free.

Originally I was gonna get the FMF turbine core silencers and use the pipes I have now. But evil, yamahammer, and I were looking at my pipes and it really doesn't look like a arms will fit with those pipes. Maybe the pipes are pre-91 and they just aren't designed for an A arm banshee or maybe we're just paranoid. I was scoping the Dynoport 2 into 1 pipes but haven't found a picture of them. The pic on their website isn't loading for me. But it does say that they make a spark arrestor for the 2 into 1...

I'm thinking of getting some different pipes. What I'd like to have is something with a bit more low end punch. I'm running old school FMF's now and they're okay, but I need to get spark arrestors and I'm not sure that these pipes will fit once I get an A arm conversion installed. So what kinds of pipes are out there that have low end, spark arrestors, and are preferably chrome? I'm not crazy about adding sparkies or the toomey hush kit. Both are pretty ugly. Also, I'd rather not get nickel plated pipes since the chrome just holds a shine so much better so that rules out the FMF's.

My wife and I pulled up right at 10, sat around for 15min waiting for somebody to stop by. Guess we just missed each other.

I got 8" pro comps from 4 wheel parts for less than $100 total. Ricky Stator has some lighting systems as does (i think its called) baja designs. But those ones will cost you at least twice as much as the pro comps

Mine does that sometimes too only it happens on the opposite side. No idea why it happens but it hasn't given me any trouble. Of course mine is only a slight difference in smoke and only while I'm warming it up.

I may have it at home but I'm not sure. Probably better PM me with it again. I get off work friday morning at 6am, but I'm gonna try to get a little sleep at work. My guess is we'll probably leave here around 10 or 11am, and get there sometime around sunset-ish. We'll be driving a yellow xterra. My stator is rewound but I have no idea how to tell how much wattage its putting out. Anyone know of a way to figure this out using a multimeter or something? Nevermind, I found the formula: watts=amps x volts
