  1. I dont know that it will actually hurt your bike. I believe a while ago someone dynoed with and with out one and they lost like a fraction of a hp. But it does no good for you. Some say they pick up throttle response and some just like the bling. I believe it may also cause the boots on the intake to wear faster and cause an air leak. But hay it could be worse there only like 20 dollars when you could have got a power now valve for like 200. Oh and mod your stock timing plate its free.
  2. I want to get a cheap polished or chrome grab bar. Is the Ac grab bar chrome I cant tell from the pics on the site and it dosent say.

  4. I dont even push in the throttle any Just free the slight play in the thumb throttle.
  5. More trouble. I was riding the other day and bike ran great but after a few hours it would not stay running unless I was rolling in gear or had the throttle bearly pressed. I not sure how to describe it but I bearly touch the throttle. It doesnt even pull the throttle cables to open the slides but if I do that it runs but take my thumb off and stalls. Is there a switch in the throttle or something. I just touch the throttle and it feels like 1/16 of an inch of play that needs to be in to run.
  6. Ok long story short I was going about 15 and rolled my bike once and It appear to have bent my stem or frame I really cant tell. But the three brackets that hold my plastic on top where the stem is are back about an inch and the bolt holes are no longer matching. How can I tell which is bent. How often do frames bend there. Wich is a good stem. How are SRP stems?

  10. yup welcome to my world I tested the stator with a bad guage and bought a new one. Now I tested both new and old with a differnt guage and there both good. I had the coil bench tested its good. Now I am ready to burn the fucking thing.

  12. It has a brand new battery in it I just switched it. It starts at OO or infinity I believe then when it makes contact it bownces to the "0" K ohms mark.
  13. it is. Im getting a buddy with a really expensive one to come over wends to test it but if it reads 0 I gonna be pi$$ed.
  14. Ok Ive been haveing this prob for a while and you guys said that I needed a multimeter to diagnose the problem. So I printed out the electical faQ and barrowed a multimeter. I started by taking the 4 prog connector apart and testing the stator. I took the pos and neg prob and touched the connector in every way possible and the guage went to 0 so I assumed the stator was fried like the directions said. I ordered a new ricki stator. When I got it I tested it first and it also read "0" I was like what the F*CK. So I put it on any way and still no run. WHY is the new stator testing 0? I am going to try a new guage wendsday but if it also reads 0 on both stators are they both no good? Has anyone experianced this BS? And whats RS policy on a faulty stator
  15. Put it this way if it was real and not abunch of tricks that guy would be every where on the news and the gov would be doing all kinds of crazy test and $hit but instead hes on tv once a year.
  16. IF there is no spark does that narrow this down to anything
  17. I took a plug off caped it and put the end agenst a bolt thats on the head. I kicked a bunch of times and didnt see any spark but not sure if that was a properway to do it or not. . I also took mild sand paper to the middle lip of the fly wheel because it was caked with dirt and rust pretty good. I also sanded metal end of the pick up coil and tried starting it and no dice but the lights did get a little brighter but still dont light every kick. I dont have a guage to test the coil.
  18. 1. whats a windings. and would a new coil fix both problems. Electronics are foriegn to me. 2. is that the ignition coil and pick up coil? I HATE ELECTRONICS!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Ok I kicked it over a bunch of times and only once and a while the lights even slightly flicker and some time the filiment bearly gets red. Tell me if this could be a problem. A day befor it last worked I took the stator cover off to change a front sproket and noticed my flywheel was dirty and rusty. So I hi temp siliconed the seal to stop any more dirt from getting in and now when I look at it is pretty funky. Im thinking this messed up the stator. But I need to know if the lights should flicker every time I kick it over with the lights turned on. Is this a sign of a bad stator?
  20. If I kicked the bike over with the lights on and they flicker could it still be fried. And could this choke thing be part of the problem?

I took nuks advice and clippd the ends of the plug wires off and put the boot back on with new plugs. I turned the gas on and pulled the choke and kicked it a couple of time. I then looked down at the carbs and noticed the choke lever was pulling its self back in. It kinda feels like there is a sucktion on it. What the hell could this be. Ok gurus what can it be.
  22. Make it easyer on your self and when your gonna line up turn in the grass reall quick so your tires are a little moist. Then put it in second and get the revs up when its go time just dump the clutch and pin the throttle and get on the bars. it will spin a quick sec and grip like a mofo as it excellerates but it wollnt come all the way up because of the slight lack of traction. When it gets full traction it'll be time for third. then just keep it pinned and shift you cant lose.
