na, not paying. I did really like some of the different reading over there but to be honest it was the worst site I have ever seen to follow. This site is way easier to use. Ill miss looking over there but I wollnt miss trying to us that site. Also how can Lee work this site but the owner over there struggles to find time. Hell this site looks way better and works smoother. Another thanks to lee. :thumbsup:

Running Stroker with airbox?
2004LEBanshee replied to 2004LEBanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Good, Im going to run the K&N Clamp on from noss with either a cut lid or no lid first and give that a shot. I was just woried about blowing a new top end or really restricting a expensive motor (kinda pointless). -

Running Stroker with airbox?

anyone running a air box with a stroker moter? -
Heres the deal, building a 4 mill from jeff with, 35mm's, CPI inframes, Dune/ play port, and keeping some of my mods from before. Problem is I ride wide open trails usually state forests, so running 2-6 gear on average. ( Dont need any comments about this bike maybe having to much a$$ for my ridding style). In fact I hope it does. My problem comes in with the $hit weather that likes to come through my area leaving me to occasionally hit a puddle or to. I try to avoid them but $hit happens. My current air intake setup is a NOSS air adaptor with K&N w/ outwerer and a Cut lid ( rear 2" cut off) . This set up works great for the occasional puddle I love it. But talked to jeff today and he suggests pods because he said the stroker likes lots of air. Personally I dont want to because I know im going to hit some water its just impossible to miss some times, but im worried that running my air set up will make the bike run like $hit. Now I'm not going to get upset if my bike makes 3 less HP becuase I have a box but I want it to run like a mofo and not blow up because I hit a puddle or some mud. Ive seen blasters running a pod blow up from the water, and dont want that. Lets hear some ideas or opinnions

If this doesn't prove the educational system is flawed, I don't know what will. I really hope your wife got you fixed.

You can Keep the throttle pinned all you want as long as 1. There is enough air flow through your rad that keeps it cool and 2. You main Jets are not lean. Really be sure about that second one.

GNR--------->Japanese Dictatorship

I went to a GNR Concert in cleveland about 3 years ago when the origanal chinese dem tour kicked off right after they played the VMA awards show. Tour got stoped short . Sure it wasn't All of GNR slash was replaced by bucket head at that time, I think the only members were dizzy and Axle. It was a AWSOME concert one of the best I have ever seen. There songs didn't miss a beat sent chills down my spine. Bucket played some new solos that were amazing just as good as slash but doesnt have the name and stigma. Oh and I have been a huge GNR fan since they started and no slash wasn't the group. Heres the reasons 1. He didn't write many of the songs and After watching them play with out slash they still sounded the same and like GNR of old, definetly kicked a$$. Good luck having slash play a GNR song with some other singer and see if it even sounds like GNR. Probably not going to happen. Love him or hate him Axle is GNR, the swagger the voice its his band. Dont take this as I dont like slash I do I would love to see them together. However I do think that velvet revolver is shit. The two groups need to scratch there differences and axle needs to stop being an a$$ and get it done. YOu'll love the concert seeing axle do what he does is well worth it. Have fun. -
good to hear from you1 :beer:

not quite sure what your asking. You want a port job which is probably 3-5 Hundred +pistons but you dont want to spend 30-40 for new clutch plates, Also you want a port job that isn't too good that will let you keep a bad clutch?

Newbie here - 06 Banshee or 06 YZF450 ?
2004LEBanshee replied to BigBeez's topic in General Banshee Discussion
My buddy and I Ride the hatfield trials in WV all the time. I have a shee and he has a 450. We switch all the time to ride. We both feel that the banshee is more comfortable. I dont know how anyone can say the 450 is a softer ride that makes no sense. That seat on the shee is a pillow. We both like the power on each quad but the shee is a little less usefull BUT that makes it more fun to ride and mess around on. Both climb hills real well, the shee never pops a wheelie because it is hard to get traction but easy to keep in the power just need a flick of the clutch and its there. However I notice it being easyer to make a tight turn and shoot a big hill on a 450 because of the traction. As for maintence there the same, the person who beats there crap does more work. Jumping is trickier on the shee but once learned you can do it well. But what I feel whats most important is the amount of fun you will get when you ride your quad. Here is something to think about all my 4 stroke friends constantly want to ride the shee every time we stop someone asks. Personally I never ask to get on the 450's or 660's. They just dont excite me the same yea a 450 is fast but its still a smooth reving 4 stroke. Great quad but not as thrilling for me. I like the sudden loss of controll. Its what ever you like just dont think you ride trails and hills a banshee cant do it. the only people who say that dont own a banshee. -
I didn't know it would be possible to get numbers like that with stock carbs how did it run
-
are those stock carbs?

Dont know if thats the best way to get a response but here goes. Personally I only have experiance with the noss head. It performed well and did a good job with cooling. With that being said I really dont think there is a difference of performance in any aftermarket head. Compression is compression and they all use pretty much the same style domes. I think the only difference may be better cooling. However I doubt that your going to find any rock hard evidence either way. To be honest I think the only difference is the look of the head. Neither are going to be that much better perfromance wise then the other.
