Well all you have to do is a stupid idiotic thing, fall off, and break something. Make sure she is watching though. She saw, she laughed, she went with me to the hospital. Next thing you know I was dating her. All it costed me was 6 months in a cast, a plate and 5 screws. -
Screw it, we all decided that we are going to Pismo. Its going to be the 1st weekend in Nov if anyone wants to go. Now we will just see if he quits being a bitch and throws his boat in the big bad ocean. I know that my ski is going in.
-
I am running 37X12's. on my silverado. If I go any bigger I will have ot replace the gears. She hated going up hills till I put the intake, exhaust and programmer on.
-
Only bad thing is he is pretty unreliable. I was going to use his Banshee last weekend cause mine busted.....so I drove up to his house (30 mins away) and than he told me he changed his mind cause he wanted to go riding. So we will have to see how it all goes.

I would have to agree, its all about teh sand conditions. I never really have had a problem getting a trailer in the sand. But the camping area in Gordons is alot firmer than the riding area. Whenever we take the trucks out to play we air the tires down. I would say just air the tires in the truck down. You should not have to worry about the trailer. And if it only weighs 2800lbs, you can just drag the damn thing.

Thank god I have a friend that takes his banshee apart for the hell of it. I am gonna take it to him on Monday. Alone with picking up 2 free sets of Geckos. I should be ready for the desert. Thank god.

All I got to saw is WTF is up with Yamaha and those damn plastics??? Ok, it looks good on the Craptor. Now they are changing the warrior and the Banshee to look like them??? I dont know. The banshee has been great since they first came out. Why change it?
-
I am sorry but I have to say something. Are you fu*king stupid?? Since when do they put VW engines in banshees??? Oh wait they don't, so who cares what your uncle does. 43mm carbs.....WTF??? OK kid, we are not you little middle school buddies, so the bull*hit will not fly here. I am pretty sure that most people know what they are talking about. I will take my pocket bike to the track and race you. Its bored 30 over with NOS. I will pull a whopping 30RWHP and probally still whoop your ass. Sorry for being rude, but come now you moron......do some research before you come here and try to hang with the adults.

here is something to think about. I found this the other night. Put some thoughts in my head Pentagon
-
Thanks for all the info. See we were thinking Havasu also. But that is pretty far. As far as Pismo goes, I have no problem putting the ski's in the ocean. But my friend is scared to put his boat in it. So that is out of the question. That will bring the same problem to the mexico trip. Mexico is great though for that. Hahaha. Plus the booze is cheaper.

Well there is spark, I am only getting 100psi. Which I found out is not enough. Come to find out there is a leak in the bottom end. It is not wanting to start at all. I am just gonna say f*ck it and take it to the shop. I am not gonna tear it apart again. I tried to do the vacuum test and I cant even get it to hold for a second.

Banshee Accidents, What Body Part Did You Break ?
tsuther78 replied to xt45's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Broke the tibia 3 inches above the ankle. Now I have a plate and screws holding the damn thing together. I let my buddy use my nerf bars cause he was going to the dunes. I decided to go ride the trails that weekend. I hit a jump, foot missed the peg, back tire munched it. The rest is history. Here is a link to the pic leg -
I race my buddy on his piped Baja and it is not a problem at all. It may have the engine, but look at the size of it.

I had the same prolem, replace the voltage regulator
-
You might want to check all the gears in there, just to make sure that there is not alot of wear. Just use some cleaning solvent to get the dirt and gunk out. About the grease on the bottom, I use simple green and a scrub brush. For the tight corners I would use the old ladies toothbrush.....just make sure to rinse it off.

Well me and the boys cant make up our minds on what to do this Nov. We want to take the quads out, but we also want to take the jet skis out. I am in San Diego. Does anyone know of any lakes around the area where you can have the ski's and the quad's right there next to each other??? I know that there is Lake Martinez in Yuma, but there is no place to camp there. Plus you have to drive 20 mins to get to the dunes. Than there is Havasu. But I am not sure about a 6 hour drive for a little 3 day trip. Any help would be appericiated.

Well damn I guess I am wrong. I will have to get a hold of that guy to buy this turbo.
-
Well I was talking to this guy the other day about quads. He told me that he has a T-3 turbo from a eclipse on his Baja DS650. Possible.....maybe. But then this guy told me that he had a turbo for my banshee that he would sell me for $100. I almost fell out of my chair laughing when he said this. When I asked to see the Baja I was told that it was on the shop getting some work done to it. So I asked for pics. Nothing. So heres the question. Is it possible to throw a turbo on a banshee??? I am thinking no. But hell if it is possible and anyone has one, let me know. I may just have to get it.

I am out in El Cajon. I am putting the shee back together this week and we are all going out to gordons this weekend. I wanted to go Labor day weekend but this shitty thing called work stopped me from going. I was pissed, all I saw on the 8 was bikes, quads, and rails.
-
The track is pretty tricky. Only bad thing is that quad are only allowed one night a week. Just sucks being the only one that I ride with that has a shee. Everyone else has gone with bikes. So I can not ride the days that they go as they can not ride when I go. Yeah just make sure everything is all dialed in and ready to go. My boy broke his collar bone and crushed a vertabrate a few months ago there.
-
I just had to tear apart the bottom end to replace 5th gear. After I got everything all put back together I went to start it. There was nothing. I have checked the compression and it is all good. I am thinking that somehow the carbs got screwed up during the replacment. I was wondering if anyone knew a good way to set the carb so I can at least start the bike to get it in tune. It is starting to get on my nerves and desert season is coming up. I do not want to take it into the shop to pay a grip of money for them to turn a couple of screws half turns.
-
You might want to think about the Z400. You can get them for pretty cheap and here is the thing that will help out alot. They have reverse.
-
Well I have tried everything now. I am getting a little pissed at the whole thing. I have changed out everything except for the block with good known parts from my buddies shee. Bastard still will not start. I even took the block back apart and started from page one. Think I just may sell it and get a 450.

My Shee is a 97. I found out that it was the voltage regultor. Nothing really too hard to fix. And yes.....I did use the multimeter. The easiet way to check the bulbs is to look at them. If the filiment is broken the light is bad. I did not have the manual at the time.
