  1. if everything check out it may just be the compression and the heat and cool process loosening the plugs up trinity make a plug holder that will stop that from hapening. 7 sounds like alot for a dune bike 4 sounds more like it.. 7 is usually for drag only.. you should be able to start in second also i have just pipes and filter and can leave in second with sand sharks and i am no small boy..
  2. I use the belray gear saver also about the same every third outing.. i met a guy this last ride that uses regular tranny fluid for a car i dont know if i would but claims been doing it for years and no problem..
  3. you can make a hokey spark arrester buy putting a small bolt or safety wire through the exaust in a cross.. all they do is put a stick in the exaust if it stops the think you have one.. One more excuse eliminated. one of my other buddies took apart the screen on the kitchen faucet and used the scren to act as a spararrester..
  4. If the problem returns i will try it washed the bike today and did not start it so i will play with it tomorrow.. The only way mine ever stuck was when riding never at free rev.. so i due belive it is vacume and choke related..
  5. if you have a 76 station buy you hit them up abvout ordering a barrel of it for you it will be alot cheaper or the av gas from a local airport
  6. I bumped it over in the engine topic section.. No new info i zip tied one side of the choke tube and it did it a couple of times and when it did if i popped the choke out it would unstick did that a couple of times and have not had any problems.. I dont know if it is a fluke fix or what but a month of riding and no problem.. Fingers crossed

  13. simple green works good But i read on here it is caustic but never had a problem as long as you rinse it off well.. The best stuff i have ever used is CASTROL super clean avaliable at auto parts store... Be warned do not apply the stuff to a dry bike or paint it will discolor it but if you hose the bike down real well first and then spray it on the really bad areas it will take anything off.. Once again rinse real well

  21. try un pluging the black tors box under the driverside (Shifter side) fender and see if it idles if it does there is youre problem.. Also check to make sure you have the choke tube between the carbs on.. if that checks out you may have an air leak spray starting fluid carb cleaner wd40 so on around the carbs and intake to see if it changes the idle
