i read a lot on this last year they also call it j gappin they clain=m it helps alot.... we where testing this on a jet ski.. i never tried it to much woek for very little gain .. We also clock or index the plugs some have reported gains of 40 rpms by just doing this mod.. they sell washers of different thicknesses to adjust in what direction the strap points twards the exaust is ideal so that the incoming fuel charge does not extinguish the plug..

I have no idea how it works on a bike but i am assuming sam as a car set up. I would make sure the fuel pump and all are working properly you can test this by turning the nitrous off at the bottle and start the engine and hit the button this should introduce gas only and kill the bike or make it run really rich, so them you know atleast you are somewhat safe as far as extra gas getting added. At the same time with the bottle off check the nitrous cylinoid with the bike running and make sure you fell it click hold youre hand on it while you hit the button (REMEMBER WITH THE BOTTLE OFF).. if all that checks out turn the bottle on go for a ride make sure you are atleast half throttle and tap the button see how it responds if good things happen you are ok, I would guess if you did not abuse it youre set up would be ok but it will not last as long as as a non nos motor everytime you hit the button you are going to be taking life out of it so use it when you need it not just guffing off,, My 0.02

If you still have the tors on top yea its alittle hard, just remove the carb tops lossen the boot clamps and twist the carb over so you can get to the jets ,you have to do ane at a time, you also need to remove the fuel line where it goes into the carb on the left carb sitting on the bike the other will twist ove and dont forget about the choke tube.

Go to the auto parts store and buy a piece of 5/16 vacume line (preaty sure) or 1/4 a piece 2 in long is all you need now look at the carbs installed and where you pull the choke out directly on the other side there is a nipple the hose goes from this nipple to the same nipple on the other carb , hope it fixes it up let us know how it work out

Mains will not affect idle the pilots are in a hole that the plastic splash gaurd goes into. when you remove the float bowl there is a little white plastic shield hanging on the carb that goes over the main remove it and in the hole it was siting in are the pilots. you need a very fine flat head screw driver to remove them, I would put money on this is the problem. diconecting the tors? well what did you diconnect the brain box under the tank. it will run and idle normal if this is what you did . the idle kit only comes into play when you remove the carb tops and install carb tops without all the tors on them since now that is what controls idle the big flat head thumb screws. and the choke tube i am talking about is 2 inches long and goes from the inside of one carb to the other when they are installed on the bike look straight down on them and there s you should see it.

make sure the choke tube is hooked up , and did you phisically remove the jets especially the pilot and look through it they clog really easy and are a pain to clean just dunking them will not clean the jets out. you have to remove them and spray carb cleaner in them with a straw till you can see through them.
