I know not to cut the air box, I was talkin about the lid. I m going to try that today. I ll try to do the wot test but I m not sure be cause the trails I m ridding today there is no spot to go wot in 6th. But 300 mains sound good to me because 2 for the air box lid and one for the winter. Thanks alot bancetta. Ill let you know how it works out.

I dont have the outerwear on my filter and yes I bolted the filter to the box. I ve tried 1.5 in off my air box but glued it back togther for reasons I don t remember but I haven t changed my main for winter yet so I m going to go up 3 sizes and get a 27.5 pilot just to try it out, but it seems fine with 30. I have 300 mains at my house you think I should try to cut the box and run 300? Thanks for the replys.

My mods are listed. I was thinking of takin off my air box lid but not sure because of alot of sand getting in there. I ride sand and trail, 270 mains and 30 pilots needle in the 2nd slot at sea level. Will I suck alot of dirt and sand from my tires roosting it into my air box? Also if any one could tell me where to start with jetting or what they are running. Thanks

Dose anyone know the lug pattern for 89 rims? I think its 4x158 thats what it looked like. could be a millimeter off but not sure. Anyone have some??? Will trade for a good set of 4x 115.

Ok I purchased these hubs off ebay and they don t fit my rims. They are for a banshee but not mine. The lugs are 4x115. They are in great shape. So if anyone has hubs layin arourd that are 4x158 aprox. please let me know. Its for the stock size banshee for 89. They have to be in good shape too.

First take off your snorkel, so the engine can breath alot better. Do not run your shee if you still have your stock jets in there, you will blow that thing up. Not an expert but do know a thing or two and I no your hight above sea level will determine what size main jet you need to run. That info would be good. But your supposed to go up{APROX} 1-2 jet sizes wth an air filter, 6-8 for pipes.Fmf says you should run 260 mains but all shees are different and it depends on your elavation. My shee likes 270 mains at sea level. Do you know how to do a spark plug chop? If not then this is how you do it....Start with a large main jet and brand new spark plug then do wot in 6th gear once you hit that point then pull in the cluch and hit the kill switch and coast to a stop. Then check your spark plug. If it is like a light chocolate your good, if its tan your too lean go up a size or two, is its really dark then go down in jet size.That is the best way to figure out if your runnin lean or rich. I no its a pain in the ass buying jets and plugs but it wil be worth it in the end. Let us know how that works out.

First what is your elevation above sea level? I have fattys at sea level with a k&n air filter and I run 270 mains and 30 pilots. What is your air box like? Do you still have the snorkel on?

I run ngk plugs now but was wondering if anyone runs anything better? Like splitfire or bosch. Because I can t find them anywhere.

Well I didn t race the craptor because the weld on my ale broke. I had to wld the hub to the axle before. But my friend did. All he has is sst pipes and a k&n air filter and he won , lost and tied. So I know now I can whop his ass. Also he said he has respect for the banshee now.

Ok I mix gas and oil 24:1 with my mods would it be better to run 32:1? Also would I have to adjust my jetting? Thanks

I got a big race tomorrow. 94 shee fmf fatty,bored .060 over, milled head, +4 timing advance,k&n airfilter,bosen reeds,and15/42 sprocketsVS 2001 raptor with k&n air filter and a pipe. He has been talkin alot of shit but I think I will spank him. What do you think?
