I hear the cam mod gives the YFZs alot more balls. (they have alot of balls to begin with anyways) I beat a stock 450r on Friday. It's like they need another gear or something, they're pretty quick though. Yeah thats exactly what he said. The cam mod was the best thing he had done, gives the bike a higher rpm. The thing is how do I kill a craptor 660 with mods a loose to a 450 with mods? I no they only weight 350 but still. I think if I didn t miss that gear I would have taken him but o well.

Yea its true I raced a 450 with cam mod, uni air filter, uranium plugs, and exhaust and lost but I wooped a stock honda 450. We raced on the pavement, the first time he had a better start and had me by a bike lenght the whole way. I only made it half way through 6th gear. The second time I had a great start and had him until I missed 5th gear!! I shifted from 4th and went to 4th. I didn t shift hard enough, then he passed me. With my mods I though I would beat him. I am so bummed. I never though I would have to post a forum saying I lost to another quad other than a shee. What other cheap mods can I do with out running race gas. I m at 170psi each cylinder now. How are those uranium plugs are they worth it?? Thanks, Kevin

The only thing is that 100 oct is $5.20 a gallon and 93 oct is $2.15 a gallon it sucks gas prices just went up in massachusetts.

Ok what kind of throttle cable do I have to buy if I have the carb eliminator tors tops?? Could I just buy a cable for a stock banshee and it will fit??

I just found a place that sells 100 and 110 octaine fuel. I run 93 oct now and would like to try the 100 oct, but will it ru good with my mods or will it be too much???

Right now i run 28-1 with regular tcw-3 oil. Noting special to it, but now i m getting amzoil synthetic and its recomended mix ratio is 50-1. Will this effect my jetting??? If so what should I change?? With my mods Im running 300 mains 30 pilots and needle in the stock position at sea level 50- 70 degrees.

Sure no problem. They are painted black, and they have minor dings in them. Nothing major.

Right now I have 1.5" cut off my air box lid and now I want to just take it off and put an outerwear on my K&N. Will I lose HP from this mod? It sounds stupid to me, but a friend of mine told me this. More air + more fuel = more power right?

With my mods I m running 300 mains needle, stock, and 30 pilots, 28-1 mix ratio and about30-40 degrees at sea level. Now I tryin to get outerwears for my K&N to take my airbox lid off. I think I should run about a 320 for now and go to a 310 for summer 60-80 degrees. Just wanted some opinions and where I could get some mikuni jets. I don t remember where I got them from last time. Did you ever check to see if both cylinders are getting good spark? I had an 89 with the same problems and it would fire on one but only every once in a while in the other. I thought it was jetting but it wasent.

His airbox is stock except no snorkel. At sea level.

A friend of mine has sst pipes and he has a 25 pilot jet and he is always complaining that he boggs at low end. His set up is sst pipes and k&n air filter, 290 mains 25 pilots and needle in the stock possition. What should he be running? Or is that set up good? Thanks

I cut the lid and put the 300 mains in and it ripped. Way better throttle response. It was way better in the trails. Thanks
