  1. if you were to kick it really hard, would the rear wheels try to spin? i'd get that shit figured out before you ride it much more.
  2. is this something that just started, or is it after you did some mods or anything that has changed recently? does it happen always, or just cold? if it's been happening for awhile, it's probably jetting, but if it's been running great, then out of the blue it started smoking, maybe look elsewhere. Could be bad fuel or problem with the float. Personally, I think Amsoil 32:1 is rich, more like 40:1 or 50:1 would be good. Amsoil is commonly ran at 60:1 with no problems.
  3. Yep. The stock plastic cover has to totally come off. I cut the section around the sprocket off and it would still seal around the stator and no removing crap to get to the sprocket. My wife saw it and didn't like, so reason enough to buy a 3 piece polished aluminum cover with removeable section to get to the sprocket. Bling Bling!
  4. Ooooh shit!! How do I make sure not to find this stuff. NYUKs right, go to a chroming shop and let them remove the chrome for you.
  5. no no no no no!! We don't do any bluetraxx promoting here. In fact, I didn't realize there were people here who actually visited that pimplefest.
  6. hmmm, never really noticed. i'll have to look for that series of numbers.
  7. Well, both Keihen and Mikuni carbs are good, it's more preference. I'm partial to the Keihen PWKs, even better, the PWK Airstryker, but it's like Ford or Chevy, they both do their job and well. As far as size, I wouldn't be going over 30mm unless your going to be mainly duning or dragging. With the setup you have and will have with the mx port and all 28s would be alright. 30s will carry you far. Then there's the single carb setup. Aaaah. Why anyone would run duals is beyond me. The simplicity, the ease, only problem with dual carbs is I don't have to f*&k with them very often so there's less to do. Honestly, good low, awesome mid and good top end, especially when comparing the top end to the stockers. It's also a very very good mx setup and much easier to dial in when going to different tracks. I'm personally a committed single carb guy, no other way for me. Don't know what kind of susp. you have, but if it were me, I'd hold off a little longer on the carbs and work on the suspension, but that's me.
  8. Thanks sredish Hey, anytime you need anything, you know who to call!!
  9. Does it matter What mods i have in my bike.??? Looking at my Sig do u think it is Ok 2 go with the paddles? a bone stock shee is good with paddles.
  10. Looks just fine to me! I like the look you've got going. But are you a Roxy girl??

  12. Get an clear inline filter and put it in the fuel intake. This way you can see if she's actually running out of fuel, or not and if there's a problem with the petcock. Definitely something to consider.
  13. technically yes, but from some of they dyno sheets I've seen, with comparably equipped shees, there might be a difference of 2 horsepower on the top end but the single carb has a whopping 8 horse more in the midrange and carries more horse throughout the majority of the powerband. Overall, yes, the duals will make more, but the single will outpower through most of the powerband. Do a search and you can find the dyno sheets.
  14. Well, guess I learned something. TRex, I haven't heard of them.
  15. Do a plug chop to see how your plugs actually are, and if need be then do a jetting change. Your correct that warmer weather will make it run richer than before, but before you go tearing things apart, check your plugs. Read the Jetting FAQ and see the Plug Chop and How do I know if I'm rich or lean.
  16. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think FMF makes any big bore kits or powervalve kits. Sure your not thinking of the FMF Rad valve, which is just the reed cage?
  17. what kind of tires are you running, stockers?? if so, get rid of them! also, with the added power, you might benefit from gearing up, less tire spin, and the gears will hold a little longer.
  18. Me too! I installed with my pipes and coolhead so it was an all at once thing, but I do like them.
  19. Very very nice. Looks like he knows his shiz. Look at the rear shocks on that damned thing. What mag is he gonna be in?
  20. So that was me, don't hold it against me though!
  21. Maybe not too much longer........ Unless the bullshit stops... Meaning what???
  22. just hit the throttle and go for it. jumping is all feel and you won't know till you try. hit some shorties to get the feel and progress bigger and longer.
  23. Don't know if it's all the new guys or just nothing going around, but it seems this area needs some freshening up with some good new threads.
