I just ordered some new re-packing from Toomey. Is it easy to do? Do you wrap the packing tight or loose around the core insert? Any other tips?

damm straight, ill never go back there to ride, to party, hell yes. i think my groupe was the only ones wearing helmets out there. no rules, people drinking while sitting on the bikes and then taking off. it was a mess. but the 3 large women on the utility quad not wearing helmets and banging heads was a site to see, as well as the hookers that approach you in the dunes. and the kid that went from camp to camp asking people if he could ride their quad. I don't remember those though.....

Another plus is that this shit smells good too!

i was just thinking, if someone were to run 15cc domes and port the jugs to allow some over-rev, wouldn't you have a power-band that had a pretty broad power curve? Does anybody run 15cc domes and if so how is the bottem-end power?

hey guys. Now that I finally got my bike running again ( it was that damn little "black box" above the left pipe), I want to get a Noss Coolhead. The 20cc domes give an approximate compression reading of 184 Lbs. at sea level on a fresh stock motor. My question is would 100 octane fuel be sufficient for this amount of compression? Second, what's the approximate highest amount of compression I could run on 100 octane fuel? Thanks.

so let me see if i get this. BenBB's post gave the following numbers. Do I have the right settings figured out? Charging coil 13.7 - 20.5 Ohms. Setting at 200 Pick up coil 94 - 140 Ohms. Setting at 200 Lighting coil .26 - .38 Ohms. Setting at 20M Thanks for the help Nater006. Does anyone know the answer about whether to kick the engine over while testing?

LedZepp or those of you that had to replace your stators to get the shee running again, were there any symptoms showing that the stator was going bad, or did the shee just flat out die? I think thats what might be wrong with mine. Thanks.

Heys guys I went out and bought a digital multimeter to test my stator at the four-wire connector. I have a printout from BenBB about what the readouts should be for each coil( colored wires). My question is at what OHM setting should the meter be set on to test them? For the OHMS settings there are 7 different settings that I could switch it to. They are as follows... 1.) 20M 2.) 2000K 3.) 200K 4.) 20K 5.) 2000 6.) 200 7.) This last setting is indicated by a black mark( the others are green) as well as by a line with different right angles. Last, this might sound like a stupid question but do I simply touch the coils with my meter, or do I have to be kicking the engine over while I touch the coils? Thanks for any help.
