  1. Ehhh, well I personally would get myself a good quality compression tester and test it. I'm not a huge fan of shoving new piston and rings in what could very well be a very tired bore. If you have any other mods and any other things you've recently done to it I would list these off as well so that these guys can better help you. Many knowledgeable people around here, much more so than I.
  2. Does it still have the TORS boxes on top of carbs and is everything for it still plugged in? It kind of sounds like that might be malfunctioning, pretty common. New crank seals, did you do a leak down test after? Start on spray? What kind of spray? Hopefully not starting fluid, just an awful idea with a 2 stroke. And, is it a set of new cylinders or is it old cylinders @ stock bore and just throwing a set of piston and rings at it?
  3. If it's not set up to run race fuel DO NOT use it... I ran Benol in my stock stroke stock crank ported motor, no issues.
  4. JFC, I thought I've seen it all!! W.T.F. Smokin' deal right here!! SMFH https://albany.craigslist.org/snw/6087355399.html
  5. Another gem... WTFF, looks like a shop even. SMH.. https://albany.craigslist.org/snw/6030052301.html
  6. As mentioned press the axle out, or just cut the carrier off. Where's your existing carrier? Why did you need to use the set up you got for free? Get fresh bearings and seals for whatever you use, they're super cheap. If you don't have the existing carrier to use, ask on here I'm sure someone will sell you one for cheap. And FFS if you can't remove the carrier from the axle, and things aren't functioning as they should you definitely don't try and bolt it up, I'm not sure there's any bigger sign that there is or going to be an issue somewhere... LOL Personally, I would save up and as Zilla said buy new shit but that's just me. I prefer not to work with junk these days..
  7. Look in the "Technical Info" forum, it was there...
  8. No offense but holy shit, have you ever taken that cover off? When it was down for the rebuild you probably should've lubed everything up too! Whatever is going on there, replace all of those parts in that pic, they're all pretty cheap, or better yet get a whole new thumb throttle. I wouldn't even ride a quad with the inside of a thumb throttle, including the cable looking like that.
  9. Oh shit, only $4500, is that all? http://nwct.craigslist.org/snw/5932794358.html ...And another... http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/snw/5924560163.html
  10. ^^That! Mine made no where near 90hp but I did have all the bolt ons + porting, one of the first things I did during my build was buy a brand new shift shaft and sent my shift star out to be modded, both were for the most part pretty damn cheap. Shifted smooth under all conditions.
  11. Just buy a caliper you can find them for fairly cheap, I'm sure someone on here has one they'll sell you, possibly even just that bracket. With that being said, does the caliper float freely on that bracket? It should slide back and forth a bit, if not pull it apart clean and grease it up and see if that helps. Maybe the caliper piston is hanging up, caliper rebuild kits are cheap too. As cheap as a caliper can be had for I'd probably just buy another one, never hurts to have some spare parts lying around anyway.
  12. If you happened to take the carbs apart make sure float bowls are on the right carbs, I had them switched up and it didn't start for shit. As already stated make sure choke tube is there, and make sure the slides are in with the half moon cut out facing towards the air box... I'm pretty sure at one time or another I over-looked all of these...
  13. If you happen to be running the Alba arms, did you put the metal spacers/washers in the correct spots? They're supposed to affect exactly what you're describing, and according to their directions depending on where you put them determines steering sensitivity.
  14. Hahaha, thanks man! Appreciate the heads up. I used to sell shit all the time and that's ^^ exactly why I don't anymore. I think I may be part Jew...
  15. That would be correct^^ IF paypal fees went up, last I knew it was 2.9% or some shit, I usually just round it up and add 3% which would = $25.75. You were close though.
  16. I have a leakdown tester here, it's one of the ones that Poolman was making and selling on here a while back. It has been repaired as you can see in the pic but is fully functional. You will need one hose clamp for one of the exhaust plugs, if I can scrounge one up I will send it. This is for stock size intakes. $25 Shipped. You will probably not find a better price for one of these, unless possibly if you make it yourself. Send as a gift or pay the fees..
  17. These parts are off of a 2012 YFZ 450, just thought I'd see if anyone is interested in them. They're sitting here collecting dust and I have no use for them. Gift payments or send the fees. Can get more pics if needed.. Just ask. Heelguards/Pegs in great shape other than needing a good cleaning. $30 shipped, or if you want the pegs PC'd I can do that too, final price would depend on exactly what you want. PM me for details. Tusk nerf bars, a little dusty, dirty and a few scratches here and there but otherwise very nice shape. I believe they're missing a piece for mounting up front judging by pics I've seen. I've actually never ran a set of nerfs, I don't even care for heelguards, so I don't know a whole lot about them. However, if some kind of mounting bracket is needed there's plenty of intelligent people on here that I'm confident can figure something out. $40 shipped.
  18. As far as this goes, I took a page out of the HMFIC's book and just put a zip tie around both pods, it'll squeeze them together a bit and problem solved. Not the prettiest solution but cheap, easy, and certainly effective. Glad you got it sorted out, now I would definitely try a 27.5 pilot though...
  19. Forgot about the damn air screw... That too^^ I believe mine was at 1.5 also..
  20. With that little elevation it's not going to make much of a difference, I believe it's every 1000' you need to rejet. As I've seen mentioned in one of your other posts if it's THAT rich with a 25 pilot there's something not right somewhere. Pick a mix ratio and stick with it, either of those options will work fine, I personally run all my 2 strokes at 32:1 for no particular reason other than that's what I've done since I was a kid. As far as my Banshee goes, I had DMC 916's, Chariot reed cages with Boyesen dual stage reeds, Advanced timing +4, UNI pods, with porting and I was at 310 or 320 mains, 27.5 pilots, clip on stock needle middle groove, I'm also at sea level. If you don't have a stock needle, get one, definitely. Some good info here; http://www.dfn.com/agservices/jetfaq.html Now I'm going to say what I say to everyone when it seems they are chasing weird bugs like this, are you completely sure you didn't mix up any of the parts on the carbs when you took them part? Weird stuff happens when you mix the shit up.. Slides in the right way? Half moon cutout goes towards airbox. The one set of carbs I had turned out to have a right side bowl on the left side... shit happens, just saying....
  21. I have a bunch of main jets, pilot jets, needlles, etc... $30 shipped for the whole lot. Needles are stock and there's another set included that's not pictured. The bags for the main jets are marked accurately but it doesn't mean there's every single size in between, I just don't have time to look through all of them right now but if I remember correctly the majority are there. The pilots are 25's and 30's. What you see is what you get. Send as a gift or pay fees.
  22. Do that^^ for sure! F.A.S.T is a great option, they're very helpful but I also use these guys; http://www.jetsrus.com/a_jet_kit_atv/yamaha_350_YFZ350_banshee_1987-2006.htm
