2004LEBanshee Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 I keep getting water in my stator side cover anybody got any ideas on how to stop this. I put silicon on both sides of the rubber seal. Im not sure if it gets in while riding or washing. Also I noticed 2 spots on the cover that look like a doule (sp) pin goes to hold the cover and case it the same spot. Are there supposed to be pins there like the clutch side has or not? Quote
J-Madd Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Make sure it's not getting in around the wires going to the stator. There is a rubber grommet that is supposed to seal that hole. Make sure it's still in place. Quote

2004LEBanshee Posted August 20, 2008 Author Report Posted August 20, 2008 I thought about drilling holes but was worried it would get in there. Did it work. Quote

Did it work. yes, the stock cover has a couple of locating pins if i remember correctly. also there is a small rubber half moon plug that goes in front of the section that seperates the stator area from the sprocket.
