slc_hillshooter Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 what do i do with the little brass tit sticking out below the water pump? is it ok to plug it? I have plugged them but its a vent line. Usually it runs about two feet up the frame rail. Quote
_Hex* Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 no need just run same amount its only a small area that increases minimal at most run in between 1-5/8 to 1-3/4 no need to overdo it, if you have a cast lockup from direct drive with the six bolt side cover, after it settles it should be on the second bolt up on the left (the oil level) Quote

Why under-do it when a little extra won't hurt a thing? Quote
rb0804 Posted August 6, 2008 Author Report Posted August 6, 2008 has anyone had to add weight to there lockup to get it to lock fully? Quote
jbooker82 Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 I run 6 stock clutch springs, with the stock direct drive weights and havent had a problem. I like how the 6 oem springs let it slip out of the hole. Quote

Stock swing arm 14/41 20X10X10 9 paddle extreems. Modds in my sig. No override. You might try all stock spings maybe it will help keep the R's up on the launch especialy with that tall gearing. Quote
rb0804 Posted August 8, 2008 Author Report Posted August 8, 2008 i am going to try the other tires first, they are smaller in diameter and if it still bogs i am going to try the lighter springs. hopefully ill get a chance to try it tomorrow. Quote
