TRO73 Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 Was thinking of getting one...do you have to mod the tank in any way or is it a bolt on. Quote
okbeast Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 Just put one on yesterday. You have to cut out the middle of the 2 existing holes (pingle only has 1 inlet) but that was it, pretty easy process. Quote
TRO73 Posted August 4, 2008 Author Report Posted August 4, 2008 Cool I think I will pick one up...I guess they are worth the money??? Quote
aczar Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 Yes you have to mod the tank a little. Because the factory valve has two pick up's(one for on an one for reserve). And the Pingel has one large pick up tube so you have to cut the divider out with a razor knife and make the hole a little bigger . But it only takes a min but I would say it is irreversable. Quote
okbeast Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 Why do you think you need one? For most gas applications the stocker will suffice. I put one in so I can run methanol later on down the road. Quote
TRO73 Posted August 4, 2008 Author Report Posted August 4, 2008 I dont know maybe I dont need one...I guess just as a precaution...Just rebuilt my bike and added several mods. I have just been reading about people using them to get equal or more fuel to the carbs so they wont run out. I have only ran my bike once since I rebuilt it and was just going to stay on the safe side.......But if I dont then I won't Quote
jbooker82 Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 I put one on my banshee just incase. I guess you can always wait unil you run the carbs dry once then you would know if you need one. Hopefully when you wont burn the top end down. 2 carbs = 2 fuel lines josh Quote
_Hex* Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 well its a precaucion not obligatory i ran my 350 with 35's on alky with stock bowls ran fine no problem with it unloading completely wanting to you know rev upp since it was getting a leaner mixture. anything other than cubs i think you shouldbe fine with small motors. its about 95 bucks more or less Quote
rb0804 Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 dont forget to drill out your gas cap to a larger hole to aid the fuel valve in doing its job Quote
