Hello all,

I am a long time reader but don't post much. I recently switched to a trinity setup single pwk 35mm carb. I am trying to get the right pilot jet and need to know whether to go up or down in size.

I live at 4500 feet elevation and run 40:1 mix. I have T5's, K&N, no air box.

I started with a 45 pilot. I have just a hint of play in the throttle cable and the bike will start easily but I cannot get it to idle. I have to keep on the gas for it to idle. The idle screw does nothing and I have tried the air mixture screw from 1/2 turn out to 4 turns out and still won't idle.

Do I need to go larger on the pilot or smaller?

Thanks for the help.

IMO it would idle if it starts easy even with wrong pilot. If it idles when you apply just a little throttle make sure the idle screw is all the way in. They are crappy plastic so you might wanna remove the cap to unload the stiff spring...There's also a small spring on the idle screw as well. If I recall correctly, I cut mine a bit to get the screws in longer

did you remove all of the t.o.r.s. electronics? if not unplug the little box under the gas tank left side and see if that works.

Thanks for the replies. I believe I have the TORS unhooked correctly. When I removed the stock carbs I follows the wires up from the top of the carbs and unplugged them. Then I unplugged the black box under the left side of the tank. I removed the throttle and replaced with a twist throttle and unplugged the wires from the stock throttle also. Is there any other steps to undo tors?

ive got simmalr setup with single carb and im running 50 pilot, 1 and a half turns out on pilot screw and i also took idle screw all the way out and cut the spring down so it would lift the slide more.
