MikeNick Posted July 23, 2008 Report Share Posted July 23, 2008 SO as I'm trying to redo this bike I decided to replace these cheesy ass orange rubber clamps with these pretty aluminum ones and the damn pipe is a hair too big for the rubber bushing..The ebay ad says they fit all pipes...Is there any trick for me to get these fuckers squeezed up on the pipe... xXBlessedWithDeathXx Posted July 25, 2008 Report Share Posted July 25, 2008 I have a set like that and they are a bitch. i got the rubber on by hand but WD40 would have bin better. then i got a wide flat head screwdriver and put the head of it in the clamp part and turned the driver so it spread some so i could slip it on. This might soften up the rubber just enough. Dont try a flame cause you wount heat them evenly an you will just end up catching them on fire.
