Hi all,

I've been doing some reading on this topic already, and have made some jetting adjustments, but still getting some gunk coming out of the pipes (at the jugs) and the end of the silencers.

I've adjusted the air screws by what I consider way too much (about 3.5 - 4 turns out). Feels like the screws are going to fall right out.

I've adjusted the needles 1 notch up... seemed to help out the throttle response.

I've changed the mains to 148 from 155 (PWK 35mm)... not really sure what that did (the bike going way too fast to ride wide open)

I haven't touched the pilots.

I've checked the plugs, and they seem to be burning fine (chocolate milk color with no gunk).

I mix 50:1 Amsoil dominator.

I'm at 500-600 ft.

This might be interesting. I'm not sure if there is a connection, but I've started adding octane boost... would this contribute to the problem?

Side question... is it ok to add octane boost to 100 octane gas?

Any help would be great!

Your exhaust/jug connection may be loose. You may need new o-rings. I had that problem 3-4 weeks ago, which sparked me to just rip it down and do my motor. But that may fix that problem.

I don't knoiw if 3-4 turns out is good or not. Especially if they are ready to fall out. Most engine builders/mechanics I talked to said 1-2 turns out is the norm.

And I'd stay away from octane booster. Just get race gas... that is if you need it. Never go cheap with something that looks as good as your bike in your signature. Plus race gases, well most of them, have lead in them which is good as well for a 2 stroke motor.

Get new o-rings and make sure the distance around the flanges between the header and the cylinder is even. There also needs to be a very small gap so that they are all the way on the flange.

You need to adjust main first, then needle, then pilot circuit. One thing at a time and work your way towards the idle from the main jet.

Thats too many turns out on the air screw. Get the motor warm and adjust the screws while running. As you adjust them out, the idle should go up, you then go in until you get the best idle. That will be your optimum setting.

I've had the same issue...along with what these guys have said, you are too rich. If you are spitting out oil, especially at 50:1, then you are too rich. Get your jetting right and you will be fine.

I've read through your original post twice, and think you are in the fine tuning area. Once you get that going you will not be spewing out anything.

Update to this question, I found that if you put a small amount of silicone (blk rtv ) on the exhaust port of the cylinder head it will seal up that area. Also check your jetting.
