bobilly Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 I have an 01 banshee power plant that I am currently building up to go in an 04 yfz450 chassis. I think a quad with banshee power and yfz450 suspension will be awesome. What do you think? oh and any performance or appearance mods are greatly welcomed thanks. Quote
Just a Shadow Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 There was someone on this forum who did that swap, in which I think in the end he was pretty satisified with it. Quote
mdhc500 Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 I would like to see a step by step how to with pictures if you really do it... I think it would be awesome. Quote

jamebo Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 I think it'll be awesome! Like you say the great handling of the YFZ chassis with the explosive Banshee power should be a really great combination. Quote
hntruckman Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 we picked up the frame, plastic, seat, gas tank, steering stem today. started comparing to my empty banshee frame to see what we will need to do. it dont look to be to hard. Quote
xXBlessedWithDeathXx Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 I think if you can get the banshee plastic on it that it would ok lol. yea you need the old school look w/newer suspension. Quote

The Shee does look cool, but I still like whats under the seat... I would at least find a way to mount the shee stock head lights somewhere on that frame as a tribute! Quote

2strokespirit Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Hey guys, I am on a YFZ450 rolling chassis now, trying to get it for a good price, this guy has 2, a 2004 and 2005 model. I am going to put a 4mm long rod RZ in it IF I can get a chassis for a good price. At the moment the guy wants way to much. Hopefully all will work out.. Quote
mdhc500 Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 the shee doesnt look cool? well cut your dam fenders  them dumbo ears dont look cool at all. The Shee has been down for a frame up cleaning, repaint, and overall go-over, and I think The front fenders will be the only thing that does not make it back on... The Shee looks cool, its just a tad heavy and the only thing about the 450 I like is the suspension... Quote
