gmctruck1976 Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 got the parts for a awsome build waiting on me to get back from iraq this winter. Now to get the nerve to do it. Im not sure when to do this build yet. Its stock 89 jarm banshee. Still runs like new. Its got a fresh bore. 40 over Hears my hold up, besides not being there to do it yet. The moter is broke in well but low low hours. Ive bought a bunch of stuff for this engine all ready. to include new pistons and rings. vito's 4 mill 110 rod crank phate head with 21 cc 4mm milled domes trinity cvc 2 into 1 with 35mm carb billit impeller adjustable timing plate the new piston ring combo is the superstoke set from vitos. i think it has just wescos in it now fatty pipe and powercore2 works front shocks and the goodies to put it all together. I guess my question is what do i need to do to my cylinders for the new pistons and rings. or should i continue using the old? By the way none of these parts are installed yet, shes only had a finger in her as far as any mods to her. after 18+ years shes about to have her cherry popped. so she needs to enjoy it. its a little nerve rackining when there still running. what you all think? take her all the way or give her alittle time. Wildcardracing Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 If it's got low hours, id say run a hone through it if there's no gouges in the cylinders. To get the full potential out of that 4mil, you're gonna want to have it ported to match the increased stroke. By the way thank you for serving, I have served a tour over there myself and I can think of a lot better ways to spend a year. Quote
2strokespirit Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 Sounds good, but I would keep the wiseco pistons .. Quote
