doug
Hi, Inside each of the carb slides, there is a little bracket with two screws. This bracket holds the little clip that holds the throttle cable in place (as well as the needle). My question - should this little bracket cover the small round hole in the slide or not. Thank you! (yes, I took both apart without thinking - duh, I know) Edited July 3, 2008 by doug

BellicoseBanshee
This would explain a lot. Bike is running a wee bit rich. Thank you. The hole in the slide is an air passage. It lets air move to the top of the slide as the slide is traveling down, preventing a vacuum effect... I am not sure if the slide operates any different with the hole blocked or not, but the is why the hole is there. I don't think your jetting will change if the hole is blocked or not...
