Dustin075 Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 (edited) Today i was riding the shee around the house to put her on the tralier to go to silver lake, while riding i shifted in second then in to third or so i thought, it will only go in to first and second no neutral or any other gear. So i am thinking a bent a fork or something. I am having a problem getting the balancer off. I have used a puller and no luck. Anyone else ever have this problem? This is my first tear down with the banshee so any other info on splitting the cases would be great. Thanks guys I appreciate it. Sorry so long. Edited June 30, 2008 by Dustin075 Quote
jbooker82 Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 By ballancer you mean flywheel. Has the magnets and the electrical componets behind it on the LH engine side, under the plastic cover? You need to use a special puller. If you use the 2 or 3 jaw puller you can bend and ruin the flywheel. Banshee Flywheel Puller LINK Quote
Dustin075 Posted June 30, 2008 Author Report Posted June 30, 2008 Didn't know that there was a special puller. I tried using a regular puller and it just took to much pulling so i stopped. Quote
J-Madd Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 I'd recommend getting a Clymer manual before attempting to split the cases. Quote
