I have a problem with my head lights. I have no head light switch and i am trying to hook up head lights but i can find no power. I have found one source of power and when i hook them up the motor dies. If someone can help me out with this or just tell me i need the switch that would be great. Thanks.

bunch of stock parts for sale

Interested in the good set of head lights. Are the plugs still on the ends, and do you have the head light switch to go along with it? If you dont have the head light switch no big deal. -

Brought the quad out to michigan over the weekend and rode the shit out of. The power band seems to work as you guys say it should. Now the problem is that it is not fast enough. I got beat by a honda 230 on the top end. The bike has a 12 tooth in the front so i am thinking and hopeing that is the problem with the top end.

I have no airbox just the two into one with a stand up filter. Kind of a bull crap set up if you ask me.

Ok i know what you mean. When you say the pipes sync with the motor it seems to me one pipe pings and the other syncs nicely with the motor. Everyone that i ride with rides 4 strokes and knows nothing about those things. So i look for advice from you guys to help me out and i appreciate all the info you guys have told me.

what does coming on to pipe mean?
-
I would guess the pipes come in around 2500 3000 or so. I will try the needle position and see it that makes a difference. One more question what air to fuel setting are you guys running? I have mine a 2 turns out.

First kick with no choke and will idles all day. So i am thinking the polit is fine. I dont know to much about syncing the carbs either. I bought the book and did the eye it up method. I have split the case and worked on the trans and did a rebuild on the top end about 3 weeks ago. Yesterday was the frist time i really rode the quad since i have owned it, and it just has had me worried if i had done something wrong. Thinking of bring it in but i like to do all the work myself so i know for the next time how to fix a problem.

I stand corrected my mains are 300. I live in morris illinois and i dont know my elevation. I did come from a 4 stroke, the power band just hits so hard, i would have thought that it would have came in smother. It just seems to me that it bogs and hits the band and it is gone. Maybe it is just cause i am not used to it or it is not tuned right...?

I have a 99 with toomey t5 pipes, and 50 over bore job. My question is when i am riding the low end seems to be kinda bogy, but when the power band kicks in it rips. There is no smoth trans between the low and the power band. I am new to the 2 stroke so i am not to sure how it work really. If you guys can give me some info that would great. (jets are 220 mains and 1 up on the polits)

What else to do while cases are split?
Dustin075 replied to Dustin075's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I have no porting work done to the heads, can i still have the cases match then? Yes I would like to have the cases power coated. I just had the frame done about a week ago, didnt know that they can power coat the cases. How much would you charge me to have it done? What the f**k is a pancake bearing and where can i get them from? -

How do I do that mod? -
I have my cases split cause i bent a shift fork. What else can i do while they are split? I have bored the cylinders over with wiseco pistons. Dont want to do a crank just yet. Any suggestions? Thanks

Didn't know that there was a special puller. I tried using a regular puller and it just took to much pulling so i stopped.

Today i was riding the shee around the house to put her on the tralier to go to silver lake, while riding i shifted in second then in to third or so i thought, it will only go in to first and second no neutral or any other gear. So i am thinking a bent a fork or something. I am having a problem getting the balancer off. I have used a puller and no luck. Anyone else ever have this problem? This is my first tear down with the banshee so any other info on splitting the cases would be great. Thanks guys I appreciate it. Sorry so long.
