Hello board,

I have a 03 ltz 400, and im trying to decide if i want to sell this and get on the Banshee bandwagon.... I live in northwest arkansas so there are a decent amount of trails to ride on, normal trails, mud and rocky....I also live about 5 hours from little sahara in Oklahoma. i love to ride the dunes but only go there 2-3 times a year, so i go alot more often to Mark Twain national forest. my question is how does the banshee do on trails? i ridin a banshee all suped up on the dunes and it was wicked fast so i would like ot get one but i do more riding on the trails, would it do very good out on the trails with the mud and some water or should i juyst stick my wha i have for now untill i can buy a used banshee just for the dunes?? any advise would be awesome... thanks :blush:

The Banshee can be used for trailriding, however, the Z400 you have is probably more trail friendly than the Shee. There are lots of guys that ride trails with a Shee, and there are alot of aftermarket parts to bump up the bottom end performance and suspension to better suit trails.

However- the Z400 you have is already a perfect trail machine, so in my opinion I think you should keep it and then save your money and buy a dune Banshee.

I have my Shee and then I bought a Raptor for trail riding, because the two have such different riding characteristics

I love my shee and I take it to the dunes mostly but when I do trail ride it does really well, however its pretty well known that shees are not the BEST trail bikes. if you do get it plan on adding a skid plate right away!

I have had my banshee down there several times south of roaring river on sugar camp drive or scenic camp drive whatever it is called. 1045 with the rock stair step section is a blast. but I also have a raptor and have had a wolverine down there. for sure skid plates anr needed there nomatter what you have.
