Bansheeman1121 Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 Hard to say with the givin info bro when you start it does it idle fine then wont take any throttle?? Dosnt start at all? when you rev it it backfires what give me more detail man im sure i can help ya out Quote
Bansh-eman Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 check to see that bth sides are getting good spark. will it idle fine? Quote
blowit Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 Sounds like you either got the motor hot and seized a ring into a piston or you clogged a jet in a carb. At least that is what is sounds like from here. Does not sound electrical. Comp test is if you have a tester. That should give you some direction. Brandon Quote
okbeast Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 I love these posts. "wth is wrong with my bike?????" anyways, air, fuel and fire. you need those 3 things Quote
blowit Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 Compression..... You don't have a party without compression and is just OH toooo common on two strokes. Brandon Quote

awaitedshee Posted June 24, 2008 Author Report Posted June 24, 2008 (edited) it'll idle fine just when i go to give it some throttle it'll bog down it kicks over fine and i had a thread about my sompression not bein over 95 and its still like that but it'll always start first kick and when its warm about the third kick it always starts but now its spittin all the time like in any gear if i give it full throttle it'll just sputter and almost die and also for the info i just advanced my timing from +5 to +8 and switched to race fuel this weekend Edited June 24, 2008 by awaitedshee Quote
dajogejr Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 I'm assuming you have the tors removed already? What else is done to the bike? 95 lbs on a good tester? You waited to long....and you might pay the price now. It was on the verge before, cranking up the timing and running it in 6th might have put you over the edge. At 95PSI, I'd say it's a waste to even check compression, you already know you need to freshen up the top end, hopefully...not much more than that. Quote

okbeast Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 It says the head is shaved? It's shaved quite a bit, and if you just did a rebuild it should be alot higher then that. Quote
awaitedshee Posted June 25, 2008 Author Report Posted June 25, 2008 It says the head is shaved? It's shaved quite a bit, and if you just did a rebuild it should be alot higher then that. but im also 1000 ft above sea level its cause the port job i have and it always starts first kick and like the 3rd kick when warm. i took a ride on it last night and it didnt act up at all i have no clue why it was doing what it did but i rode it for prolly 15 min. late last night and it rode like it normally runs... i dont get it Quote
okbeast Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 Still after a rebuild, even with a port job it should be higher than that i woudl think. Mine was only 10-15 lower then what I thought it would be. Quote

That is pretty much what my elevation is. When I had all stock components and a worn motor I was still at 100+ psi. With what you have you should be much higher. Also, most engines start better when they are warm instead of when they are cold. That could point to weak spark or carbs that need some attention. Quote
lilmegill727 Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 is it running on one cylinder? is the jetting off? is it getting good spark? Quote
