docjcwatson Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 Alright. Here's the deal. Bought this car last year after my first deployment to Iraq. Spent a ton of money on it and was just sooo happy with the car. Now the car has become second to my ATV addiction. I'm sad to say that I will let this car go for as much as I paid for it. Which is $5,500. Specs: Original small block Olds 350 Offenhauser racing 360 degree intake MSD Ignition Mallory distributor *Holley 600 carb *Scat Rally series seats (2) *Door Panels *20 gal fuel cell *Ralley 350 steering wheel. *Dual 14 in. electric fans with override switch *Floor pans I also have the following not installed yet: Competition Engineering 10 point cage. Headliner Rear door panels A-piller covers I'm sure there is more. Anything with a * is what I put in myself. So you can count on those things being fairly new. The guy that I bought it off of, did not tell me much about the car. Due mainly to me being to stoked to ask about it. I know that the engine has 10.5:1 comp. Which I can attest to, because this car runs like an animal. Other than that. I have no clue of what the heads are, or the cam shaft. Other than that, he told me it is a Comp Cams stick. If you have any specific questions about it, I will try and answer. The car is located in Jacksonville, NC right now. May travel, depending on circumstances. I am looking for a trade. I would like to get a trail rig banshee out of it. I have the title. Somewhere. Quote

docjcwatson Posted June 17, 2008 Author Report Posted June 17, 2008 Nice car man! I love Olds man. I have that '71 and I also have an '88. The '88 needs some TLC also. Anybody need a new toy? Come on! Somebody wants to buy it. Or i'll take a quad for trade. Maybe even a 4-stroke. I'll trade up or down! Quote
375hp banshees Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 olds man here too... nice... whats up w/ the traction bars on the lower control arms? I'd love to put my 462 in there ...bump for ya Quote
docjcwatson Posted June 19, 2008 Author Report Posted June 19, 2008 I have no clue why the traction bars are like that. It came like that, and I lost interest. So I never messed with it. What's going on with that 462? What have you got done to it? Quote
HammerShee99 Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Sometimes, I wish I had a quad that was expendable to me. This is one of those times. That is a badass car, I've always wanted a muscle car and I had a '70 Chevelle that I was going to restore and make into an SS clone, but there was just too much work to do to it and I didn't have the money, so I had to let it go. docjcwatson Posted June 19, 2008 Author Report Posted June 19, 2008 Thanks man. She still needs work. She has gone a best of 13.5 in the 1/4 with a bigger carb. It is street legal, but I just drive it back and forth to the track. I thought about getting the almighty Chevelle. Oldsmobile's just apeal to me more. Really i'm a GM guy. I'll prolly work on the price with someone if they are really interested. Quote

What's going on with that 462? What have you got done to it? It's been in pieces for 10+ years... alum. heads 1050 dominator ,balanced & cross drilled crank...had it internaly balanced to a standard flywheel & it was out to far, so they had to take some off of the fly wheel ...I pulled it down to go automatic so they have to rebalance w/ new flywheel & its. been that way for years ... been running my '70 350 in my '88 w/ 250 shot to get my fix, but its been sitting 4 yrs, since i got my TA... to many toys so little money :: Quote
docjcwatson Posted June 24, 2008 Author Report Posted June 24, 2008 Maybe $4500???? Come on. Somebody wants it. Quote
docjcwatson Posted June 27, 2008 Author Report Posted June 27, 2008 $4,000? Come on, that is $1,500 less than what I paid. Plus I put a lot of blood sweat and tears into it. Quote
STREETSWEEPAZ Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 I always wanted another 70's Cutty ............. I had a 71 like your s there when i was 15 - Paid $150 for it - Ran & Drove Great !!!!!!!!!!! Body rusted but it was decent still ......... Back then - that amount of rust was way too much fr me to handle , 14years later - im kicking myself in the ass........... I will pick up a 72 Cutlass Supreme / Convertable when the time is right ........ You should be able to sell it if you advertise locally - The Big Rim craze is in full swing down south - Advertise it down there in an Auto shopper -- Your on a Banshee site / Not the IDEAL site to sell a car Quote
