Will any standard cool head bolt right onto a cheetah or cub? Or do you have to buy one for those cylinder setups? Whats a chettah, and Whats a cheetah cub?

rk tech makes a head for cheetas.that`s what i ran on mine.

cubs will accept standard banshee cool heads.and stockers.

cheetas are larger and require a specialty head and cr 250 reed cages..

nyuk, do the rk tek heads use domes? or are they just cut for specific applications? did you think your was worth the cost over stock cheetah head?

yes the rk tech head had changeable domes. did it create a difference. i dunno. it leaked like a spaggeti strainer. i sold it before i really got to use it.

I have the RK Tech head on my stock banshee cylinders and he cuts the domes for how your motor is set-up and the type of fuel you want to run.You have to use his domes,they aren't inter-changeable like with other brands.And i believe only his o-rings will work too.I had a problem with mine leaking at first when i was using the stock head nuts,but Dan@Patriot Racing gave me some acorn nuts and it fixed that,hasn't leaked since.

The big difference is the Cheetah bolt spacing is different and the Orings are on the cylinders instead of the head, actually a MUCH better design than the stock/cub configuration.

 

Acorn nuts and brass washers are a must IMO on any of the aftermarket heads.

so the cub is small bore and the cheetah is big bore then?

Cubs come in 65mm and 68mm bore. (If you get them coated for nikasil. A SMALL minority get the cast for steel sleeves)

Super Cubs come in a 72mm bore.

 

Cheetahs have bores all over the board, starting at 65mm I believe....and go up to 74 or 75mm bore, I think.

They have Oringed cylinders and LARGER intakes on them as well. And they have a larger stroke option...too.

They were around long before the cubs. Cubs were designed to use stock banshee components, reed cages, pipes, head, etc....
