Are you sure on that because I just measured from rim-lip to rim-lip across the diameter of the rim and it's 11 (not to mention the tires that I just took off the rims are 20x11x10.

Then I measured from tire bead to tire bead across the diameter and the new tires (20x10x10) and it's 10 inches

yup 100% sure i order tires alot, installed alot of tires, even sold tires at one time. last # will always be the rim diameter and im pretty sure yur rim a 10" u dont count the lip that will give u about 1/2" each side that wil give tha extra 1" so yur rim is a 10" not 11"

Ok I understand what you are saying (not trying to prove you wrong) just a little confused and would like to understand.

So here is what I thought was a 11 in rim but with what you say is actually a 10" correct?

Here is the 10 tire

So is this a 9" rim then??

What confused me is that all these years I must have had 11" TIRES on 10" RIMS then before I just bought these new tires???

There is no way to mount a 10 inch tire on an 11 inch rim... You would never get the bead to seat even if you got the tire on the rim...

But you have a 10 inch rim. you cant measure the outter part of the rim that is the bead...

Thats NOT true, we used to mis match rims and tires on porpuse when racing oval tracks, it has to do with staggering the tires and how much roll the tires have when cornering. there more to do with it fitting then just the shear size, the rubber compound and side wall siffness makes more of a differance then the diameter

and yes tate you are correct in your last post

Ok so that all makes more sense now so all this time I had bigger tires and smaller rims. But bottom line is I CAN get these new tires on my rims!! That's good. whew

beleive me there 10" rims the one pic with the tire mounted u i can see its a 20x10x9 tire and the rim reads 10" but the lip gives u an extra 1/2" each side so X2 = 1"-10 = 9"lol hard to explain lol

beleive me yur good to do those are 10" rims and 10" tires

Yeah that makes sense I just didn't know where to measure from so that's what confused me initially.

Thanks a lot guys!
