SAVAGE420 Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 (edited) I dont know what the eff is wrong with my shee now...It ran good while it was cool in the morning and then like a turd when it was warmer in the afternoon. So i had 152 mains in then went down to 150's and still ran like shit on mid-topend so i tryed some 155's and still kinda ran the same then some 158's and still no good and plugs looked ok but changed them anyway. It will kick over first kick and idle awesome just she wont rev out all the way and i cant really tell if shee's lean or rich on the plug chop as i cant wind it out. and ive Never had to go under 152 mains before no matter how hot it is out. So im thinking it's eather i have an air leak or something electrical, but i just put a new coil in last season when the same sorta shit was going on! How long does a coil really last? Cleaned the filter changed the jetting and plugs and it still seems the same with diff size mains in too!?! I also have the pro design intakes with the boost bottle that goes over (not in ) the intakes so i cant just take it off and put the x-over tube in place but i am thinking i can just plug the holes off cause its leaking a bit...can i or what??? Im just pissed off at it now and will try things in the morning, do you guys have any suggestions as im preety good at figuring out my shee! Edited May 11, 2008 by savage420 Quote

SAVAGE420 Posted May 12, 2008 Author Report Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) Well i was out at my new acreage all day that i bought on Wednesday so i haven't had the time today. Also i don't think it's the plug boots as they don't do anything BUT keep water out. If i take the boots right off, the wires plug right onto the spark plugs themselves anyway so it's not that. I don't know how a stock coil and wire set up is but this RM one you don't need the boots if you don't want them on there. Edited May 12, 2008 by savage420 Quote

shanYE west Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 have you checked the pickup coil gap yet? Quote
okbeast Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 have you checked the pickup coil gap yet? Agreed, check that. Buddy's gap was way too big and it would run like crap on the top-end. Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted June 7, 2008 Author Report Posted June 7, 2008 Well guys i checked EVERYTHING you can check on a shee and it turned out to be the coil AGAIN...fucking junk coil from RM...bought a oem one so i hope it will last a long time. Runs awesome now and pulls harder with the Noss head and 20cc domes and the plate at +4. Its like a whole different bike, i was not expecting that!  Quote
kawiking Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 cool..glad to hear it fixed... i hate when the shee goes down... but i have learned alot about bikes owning a shee.. it sucks ,but then again its kind of cool learning stuff. Quote
