pasedogg Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 i think my clutch is gone. went to rip, it would be running good one second, then sound like it was in neutral ,so it would rev high, thought maybe it wasnt warmed up, was rippin, noticed it getting way worse, couldnt jump anymore, then wwent to leave pit, sounded like i was in neutral through all the gearas and had no pull.i was in 5th tryin to get out going like 5 km an hour.i know it was probily bad for it but had to go like 300 feet, that 300 freet fucked it.i barely got out of the pit, but it sonded like i was ripping, i think it was my clutch as i thought it might be going before.the arrows are way off and other shit.i took it to mechanic, he agrees its probily clutch. what do you think it is.any suggestions about rebuiild??? Sounds like it could be clutch. Is the oil in the trans all burned smelling and murky? If so most likely clutch. The fact that the arrows are off is another sign. As far as rebuild, the clutch that FAST racing sells is a good one. if your bike is not pumped up a lot you can run 3 stock springs with 3 of the HD ones in the kit to keep the lever a little softer. Ket a nice easy pull lever with a bearing in it and a good clutch cable (lube it very well) and you should be good to go. Quote

350BANSHEE350 Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 hahahaha well prolly a burnt clutch, oh-well easy to do Quote
pasedogg Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 how much should it be for a mechanic to put in a new clutch and bore and get new piston kiyt. Quote
okbeast Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 You could save quite a bit by doing the clutch yourself. You can get a tusk for $45 or the one FAST sells for around 100 I think. As for the bore/piston kit depends on who you go to. Piston kit will run you around $150 and the bore could be anywhere from $50-$100 I'd think. Quote
