Bansh-eman Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 Greg...we will author the small word version with pictures and crayons for you... that would be more up my alley got to keep it simple stupid! Quote
okbasspro Posted May 2, 2008 Author Report Posted May 2, 2008 Yep...offset the cheap cylinders with 600 to 650 for a new 10 mil crank, and 75 to 125 plus shipping to have cases trenched...plus another hundo for the head to be cut. So...Probably a grand or so with the cylinders. Then you get to worry about the tranny, clutch, swingarm, suspension, etc. Unless you have the funds to commit to it, I'd let it pass. It is not a bolt on solution by ANY means... Thanx for the input it looks like a huge bucket of worms to open. I will stay with mods I can do a little at a time and not break the bank. Thanx Jeff Quote

FireHead Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Easy...put a 10 mil spacer plate in, deck 5mil off the top. Sheesh...and I thought you were a smart guy.... Taking 5mm off the deck wasn't mentioned and really isn't a good idea with OEM cases. :geek: Quote
Snopczynski Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Taking 5mm off the deck wasn't mentioned and really isn't a good idea with OEM cases. :geek: maybe 5mm of the cylinder deck is what he meant? Quote
FireHead Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 maybe 5mm of the cylinder deck is what he meant? To me, the deck of the cylinders would be the ehad mating surface........... Doing that wouldn't do much other than raise your compression and your portiming would still be assed up. :geek: Quote
Snopczynski Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 I dont know what he meant. bottom of the cylinders? Quote
FireHead Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 I dont know what he meant. bottom of the cylinders? Bottom of the cylinders would make sense.............. I was mostly just giving Dave a hard time. Quote
