stephaner142 Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 I took my motor apart yesterday. and while disasembling the clutch my holding tool on the boss sliped and broke a tooth on the cluth basket. I shoped around for a replacement and found a hinsen basket on ebay. It was cheeper than a new stock replacement from the dealer so I went with it. expensive booboo. What are the benefits of a billit basket anyways. Quote
Hilarious Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 The aftermarket, billet baskets hold up to wear and tear a heck of a lot longer than the stockers. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 just curiouse what did it cost you? you can get a magnum billet basket for like 150 bucks new Quote
stephaner142 Posted May 2, 2008 Author Report Posted May 2, 2008 I baid 114 new and I from canada and a stock peice would cost 250 Quote
Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 If you look at your old basket the fingers will probably have grooves in them where the clutch discs were rubbing. The Billet baskets are alot harder and won't do that. Quote
