  2. yep, I added new gaskets when I changed the reads. and carbs are on properly. I talked to my brother and he says its just a carb tuning problem. I checked the plugs and they're a little on the rich, I've got stock 200 mains. I went for a ride with my brother last night and in an hour I went through 3/4tank of gas and my brothers yfz 450 only burned 1/4 tank. Is it normal for her to be that hard on gas.
  3. I went for a little ride with my daughter for 45 min. I took it easy, didn't go past 2nd gear. It ran just fine. I droped her off at home and went for a realy good rip for 20 minutes and wen I let off the gas she wont idle down. It feels like she stays at 1/2 throttle and wont idle down. is this because she is runing hot or what. I gave the motor new seals last week. cleaned the crabs, checked the boots, she still has stock bore with 120psi on both cylinders and I just installed boysen two stage reeds. I turned the air screw down 1/2 turn like the instructions sead. does anyone have any ideas.
  4. I baid 114 new and I from canada and a stock peice would cost 250
  5. how many circlips on the crank bearing and trans bearings. I crack open the case and found only one on each bearing, I looked in the manuel and it only shows one . I talked to the dealer and them to sead one. so why would they grove all around the whole bearing boss if the circlips are only half a circle.
  6. I took my motor apart yesterday. and while disasembling the clutch my holding tool on the boss sliped and broke a tooth on the cluth basket. I shoped around for a replacement and found a hinsen basket on ebay. It was cheeper than a new stock replacement from the dealer so I went with it. expensive booboo. What are the benefits of a billit basket anyways.
  7. thanks guys, I'll find a heat gun and try it. My plans are to throw it back together for the summer and ride and when the snow comes I'll tear it apart and rebiuld it and ad some mods.
  8. hello eaveryone I'm new to this furum and this is my first post. I just bought a 2000 banshee, got a good deal but she needs a little bit of work. first I am curently In the process of changing all the oil seals. the right crank seal is leaking. other than that the bike is in good shape. the plastic does show signs that the bike has been rolled before, theres some destress marks where the plastics been bent. the fenders are blue and where the bends are its a liter shade of blue. I was told that a heat gun can get those out like they've never been there. has anyone tried this.
