My prob is I just put on a set of 30 mikunis it runs good but at about 7/8 to full throttle it boggs out? My mods are in my sig and I'm at bout 500 ft. runnin 114 race gas and 40:1 beanoil. My mains are at 310 not real sure about my piolets and my needles are in the middle. I also lost bout 15 mph on top end which really sux. Any help will be appriciated. Thanks Quote

slowblueshee2 Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 Never messed with the bigger mikuni's, but it sounds like your main jets are too big if she bogs only on the top. Check your plugs and adjust accordingly. Quote

Profilact Posted May 7, 2008 Report Posted May 7, 2008 200 would be a BAD starting point. If you are at 310, try 300, 280 etc.... Like was already posted, a bog at top end represents a main jet problem. 500 feet to me doesn't seem that high, so I don't consider that a factor. Im running close to same setup you have, minus the exact same pipes, at sea level, with 32mm carbs and 280 mains. No bog. Quote
nuc_welder Posted May 8, 2008 Author Report Posted May 8, 2008 Sorry I guess that I forgot to say what mains I'm running right now, I started at 300, then dropped to 290, but it seemed to get worse for some reason, so I went to 310's, and it seemed to be a litter better, but still not right, I can't even beat my raptor that I used to spank bad.
