hillshooter421 Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 Just wondering what kind of carb setup some of you have. I need to tune mine in just a little. I have a 68.5 vitos block, cpi pipes, 4mm crank and 35mm airstrikers. What what jetts do ya Run? I also am running 20" kenda's and have to run my gearing 12X40, does anyone run a similar gearing? Snopczynski Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 Why are you running a 12 tooth front sprocket, thats hard on chains and pretty much can ruin chain sliders. I run the same gearing ratio, but I run 14/46. 13/43 would also be the same. Quote
locogato11283 Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 you need to be runnin a 14 tooth front with that setup unless you weigh 300 pounds. as for jetting, ive found that most PWK carbs run about the same. ive always run 160 mains, 45 pilot at 1000 feet elevation. thats with 19-21 cc domes on race fuel. Animalman294 Posted April 25, 2008 Report Posted April 25, 2008 It's about 70 degrees, and one plug is lean (snow white) and the other one is dead on or chocolate brown (1/2 to 3/4 of the electrode). I'm not sure why this is happening yet. Also not sure if its an electrical or carb related problem either. So I think that I need to check my carb on the right for debris and then move on to the electrical issue. I have always had problems with one plug looking different than the other........... Quote

What does it need in the back, because with my 18" tires I run a 15X39. 12X40 is what my motor will pull out of the hole with 20". Quote
