well as I continue to collect my parts for the future drag build, I need to know about carriers? are all of the brand about the same? I am looking at JJ&A , but I also found a geat deal on Modquad..any advise or comments on brand to look at or to stay away from? thanks

jj and a and mod quad both build a really nice carrier. Just make sure you get one for a stock axle diameter if you are running a stock axle. the drag axles are bigger so the bearings in the carrier are bigger

my buddy just put a drag axle in his stock carrier... he said they changed the bearing out and used ceramic ones. ive never heard of that before

I've heard of ceramic for cranks, etc. Not for the axle, though...

If it were me, and he's running a drag axle...swap out that junk stock style and replace it with a roundhouse...

I'm not sure how great of an idea that is............. Ceramic roller bearings tend to be very fragile and don't have anywhere near the lifespan of a traditional bearing. :geek:
