Planet Sand times

I always said our tracks in MI are a few tenths slower, proved it today.

My bike runs consistent 4.3s as is, best of 4.22, 4.25 and 4.27 with me on it, no bar.

My bro took it down to Gilbert, off the track, hasn't rode my bike since Labor Day of 07...at the dunes.

First pass off the trailer, no tuning, new clutch lockup that hasn't been tuned, etc. And he's not a small guy, probably 200 to 220 lbs. NO Wheelie bar.

4.004 @ 75 MPH.

Here's his slip...

I would post my times from PS if it ran 10 seconds...I'd be damn ashamed...but I'd post it...LOL.

This is an unrun bike as is. new domes from Patriot racing (Thanks Dan...), a slingshot lockup that has only been run 10 to 20 runs on the ice (660ft instead of 300)...and it came right off the trailer like that.

I put the top end back together in an evening, fired it up then purged the shit out of it with some 20:1 supertechniplate...LOL.

I leaned the lectron needles 1/2 turn and put the PJs where I remember having them last year. That's it.

Oh...and new intakes, no crossover tube. That must be it...LOL.

I don't know if my boy is running my 14 paddles or he swapped them for 15 paddles...but, no bar on a stock cut frame and unported, right off the trailer...I'm very pleased. He's about 30 lbs lighter. Where I have a beer keg, he might only have a case... LOL.

I'm not sure of the elevation down there, it's got to be damn close to sea level. I think we ride 500 to 800 ft. above...so, not a huge difference...

It's just a faster track, period...than what we're used to here in MI. That's why when people say...oh, I'll turn this time at your track, I always say...come here first and do it. It's not what you think... Just because your motor turned a time at some other track, or made that much HP on a dyno somewhere....come here to our tracks and prove it!!

Hey...if he's a better rider that's fine with me... He's just no jockey by ANY means...which means whatever he can do on the bike I can...:)

I thought it was pretty impressive for throwing it together and running it...I'm happy...:)

Rico...I honestly don't know if I'll see any vids of my particular bike, I'm sure in the next few weeks as people get back they'll be posted up. I gave my buddy everything but the kitchen sink to take down there with the bike.

I just forgot to get him my vid camera....oops. One of our crew has to have a vid camera, I"m sure....
