BansheeRider71 Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 I need to know where I need to be as far as jetting, Im gonna have CPI inframes, K&N pods, V-Force 3's, +4 timing, cool head with 20cc domes, Im running STOCK CARBS, I was thinking about the jet kit from cascade , 2 310 mains, 2 30 pilots, 2 needles with clips, does this sound right for the mods or do I need to get bigger mains? I live in central Oklahoma, Thanks. Quote
jet mech Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 I bet you will be right on with the needle on the 3rd Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 Your'e gonna need bigger mains. In the 330-360 area. Quote
Ting Ting Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 (edited) Your pilots should be 30 but the mains need to be around 360 and the needle be fine in the third clip. Edited April 5, 2008 by Ting Ting Quote
wesw Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 stock portign you should need maybe a 27.5 pilot, 4 clip on the needle maybe 5th and 310-330 mains in oklahoma at the dunes. Quote
BansheeRider71 Posted April 5, 2008 Author Report Posted April 5, 2008 Ya im gonna be riding where I live wich is central Oklahoma, an also Lil Sahara, also STOCK PORTING, im running STOCK CARBS, damn 360 Mains!!! I was hoping to get the jetting right the first time an not have to trial and error & spot an tune, What about 2 330 mains, 2 27.5 pilots, needles on the 4th clip, 2 1/2 turns out on the air-fuels screws?? Does that close or about right? im just trying to get this right or as close to right as I can so I dont have to switch out alot of jets. Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 On my 99 with T-5's, v-force 2's, cool head with 20's we run 340 mains with pods and 27.5 pilots. I know CPI likes a bit of a bigger main then the Toomeys, hence the 330-360 suggestion. Quote
wesw Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 every quasi stock bike with bolt ons at waynoka that ive seen or played with 330 was about the biggest main you needed if you ran 4th clip and what not. dont forget every circuit pilot, needle, over laps into the mains.bigger pilot and higher clip adds more fuel. BansheeRider71 Posted April 7, 2008 Author Report Posted April 7, 2008 I was thinkin with 330 mains an 27.5 pilots an needle on the 4th clip an 2 1/2 turns out on the air-fuel screws that it would be the right set up, 340, 350, 360, mains all sound extremely rich, better to be rich than lean but not that rich, I ordered my jet kit an jets today, im thinkin that I will be alright with 330mains, I hope so at least, I just need to get my jetting right or as close to right as I can for my shee to run good.
