LS1Inferno Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 i am putting together a bike with dune port (i believe) boyesen stage 3's and FMF signatures with 35MM PWK airstrikers im at ~2000 feet wha tshould the starting point be for the mains and pilots the needls say DGK and thats it. And dont say try it and plug chop for now, i need to break it in. both piolts and mains are different. for now. Quote
blueshee03 Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 if it were me i'd try starting with 52 pilots and probally 162 mains turn air screws out 1 1/2 turns , clip on needle in middle position. i'd also do a check of the plugs before running it to long or to hard. Quote
JKJK Posted April 5, 2008 Report Posted April 5, 2008 (edited) If it's a fresh top end or already broken in it should make absolutely no difference in the jetting requirements.I've noticed most people(including me)who run those carbs at or around sea level favor CEL needles,48-52 piolets,155-165 mains.Seeing your at 2000ft the richer taper needles you have might be too much+require leaner mains.I would start with a 48piolets+162 mains.
