The expasion chamber pipe should slide inside the stinger pipe. try shifting the expansion chamber around some and see if you can get it on there. Mine fit with no problems.

I checked my bike a while back and found out that the brilliant individual that had the bike before me switched the stinger pipe from one muffler to the other, which made it fit funny. Make sure the right is on the right and the left is on the left. There should be a stamped L or R on the outside of the pipe facing the frame...............

My CPI's don't fit perfectly (they're about 1/4" from mounting perfectly, but I haven't ran them yet), but 2 inches away from header to stinger? Something's not right. Try loosening all the bolts without pulling them all the way out (including the shock mount's in the front). See if you can arrange it that way. If not, pull the bolts all the way out, put the exhaust together, then try moving the shock mounts around till you get the holes lined up.
