Fastchecker Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 When installing the metal type cylinder head gasket to you have to use any kind of sealer??? I know i read to not use any liquid kind of sealer, but use airosole types. Do you have to use anything???? Thx you!!! Quote
bansheejoel Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 no, you dont apply any type of sealant that head gasket should be more than enough to seal everything properly Quote
shee rips Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 i used copper kote on mine. the manual doesnt call for anything, but i was told that stuff would help it seal up better. just use a light coat though. dont want it getting in the coolant. Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Head gaskets don't require anything to seal. Those gaskets are already coated to give it a good seal. Quote
