Have you seen how wide a phazer motor is? Its almost twice the width of a stock Banshee motor. Its physically bigger than an LT500 motor. Quote

Snopczynski Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 That engine in the pick is missing the cvt and cvt cover still. That will add about another 6"-8" to the width of that motor. Yamaha still makes the banshee, and has not re-tooled for it since 1987. So if they already make it still, and they already make a few four strokes that have better suspension and handle better, then why would they make it with a 4 stroke motor in it? This guy who says he confirmed it is full of shit. I would bet him money at this point. I had some idiot kid who is a friend of my cousins boyfriend tell me they were making a 500 banshee fourstroke last summer in july at a party. I told him it wasn't going to happen, and he had the gall to say "Well we will see about that". Are you f'ing kidding me? You new guys need to realize something. It was a press release photo from Yamaha that just said it was a twin 4-stroke in an updated frame and plastics. It looked sick as hell. If I didnt see it in a mag i wouldnt believe it. I wish I could remember were I saw it. It might have been a Motorcycist (the ama mag) or a streetbike mag. It was a concept not a production photo so dont think it coming out the next two weeks or something. Might never come out Quote
