  1. not sure if ur still lookin but i got one for sale, pm if interested
  2. lol, that was a funny rant..
  3. try this? Benshee Specs
  4. banshee = screamer i think the banshee name should be retired. im all for yamaha making a badass new quad that is completely different than their already saucy offerings but how on earth can they call it a banshee? in reality the situation for atv's now is a lot different than it was when our good ole banshee was thought up. Big name companies seem to be succeeding in putting out machines that are starting to all seem the same. different from that status quo is looked at as wrong. the banshee is something that cannot be reproduced or replicated, and to attempt to do so would deface the legend that is currently the banshee. i would hate yamaha if they threw a phazer motor or any other motor into a new frame and called it a banshee, expecting it to sell because it had the banshee name, i would be offended. this is just what i think, im not trying to convince anyone but i really dont want a new banshee
  5. the phazer 500 makes 500 hp...thats why its called the phazer 500
  6. for 580 you could have elka's...do you really need piggybacks? thast the question. if i were you (willing to spend 580) i would buy a pair of elkas and be happy.
  7. I was looking for a quad, desperately. I had a eton 90 and my friend (who i had started riding with) got rid of his 250 ozark, and invested in a piped yfz. I needed something that would at least be fun to ride. I was looking for a 400ex for around 2500 r=or so when i came across a banshee in my area. I thought about it and actually found this sie while i researched the banshee. after seeing the world of after market and the cult-like following i decided a banshee was the way to go. The banshee i had found was actually on ebay and the auction was at around 2 grand with no reserve for a mint 99 that had hardly been ridden. I called up the guy and told him to forget teh ebay thing and that i would write him a check for 2400 and come pick it up. he said "nah ill let the auction go through". i was fine with that, i won teh auction for 2025. he seemed like a nice guy that went real easy on the banshee (he had bought a honda goldwing which lets you know the kinda guy he was). so i picked it up and ran with my friends yfz (until it blew up) and have never looked back. owning a banshee is like a disease, like Banshee-itis. it infects you and eve though im fairly new to the quad game, i know i would never go on without at least one banshee in my stable.
  8. turn the gas valve on and let it sit, mine will leave me a nice puddle if its left on and it drips even when the quad is running. its pretty clear its coming from one of the carb hoses. my tank doesnt last long. i wonder if its the same problem. im going to check it out on Saturday...
  9. thnkas for all the help and sorry for the loong delay.. so i pulled the carbs and had em cleaned up. they were all gummed up and whatnot.. after doing that, it actually runs great. i checked compression and it is 115 in both cylinders.. prolly 'cause this bike doesn't get much ride time (unfortunately)... well im not so sure about doing the top end if the compression is okay (115 is okay right?)..any thoughts?
  10. i didnt know banshees could be slow :ermm:
  11. ahh the 99 with teh royal gold wheels...gotta digg it
  12.
  13. i used a dremel and i wasnt even wasted :geek: it came out ok i guess...
  14. i dunno about cf ones but the powermadds are awesome..i think they are the only handguards that look great on a banshee
