flint Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 hey guys well im back on a banshee again. traded my 86 250r for one and hoping i dont regret it. well i got this thing and it runs great and strong but you have to pop it to start it. i have heard a bad crank seal can cause it not to start with the kicker. let me know what ya guys think. i will be posting pics and a list of mods later thanks alot guys josh Quote
IrideA250R Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 weak spark can cause this as well, either from a faulty stator, coil, or cdi. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 when my bike was near stock i had put bigger pilots in the carbs and it woudlnt start. put the smaller ones back in and it fired right up. whats jets are you running? Quote
flint Posted March 20, 2008 Author Report Posted March 20, 2008 im not sure that the jetting is at i just got the quad yesterday. but it has a cool head w/ 17cc domes, dyno port exhaust, v force reeds, stock bored carbs, dynateck programable ignition, an a knn filter it ran good once we pull started it and it rips but not getting anything trying to kick start it. the guy told me he took it to the yamaha dealer and they told him it needed a crank seal cuz it was spewing ol out the right side. (dosent sound right too me) any other ideas that you guys might have will be great thanks alot josh Quote
