hercalmighty
What color are your plugs. I have the t6 and I started with the 280 main. I'm up to a 310 main now with the same mods as you

Infamous039
my plugs seem to be a very very light brown not chocolate like they should be. I wil install some 310 mains witht the air screw 1.5 turns on the air screw to see how it runs. I had the 280 mains in before I removed the airbox lid. Infamous039
Also should my needle clip be on the 4th notch down from the top (round end of the needle) or the 3rd notch?????
gumby6t9
Are you running the stock or toomey needle? I had better luck with the stock needles when I had my stock carbs.
hercalmighty
If your breaking up 3/4 to top its main jet. Get that main up and try it. How does it run from 1/4 to 3/4? That will be your needle
Infamous039
I installed the 310main jets and turn the air screws 1.5 out. The bike is running extremely well now. It is not breaking up on the top-end anymore. I am running stock needles.
hercalmighty
Yeah glad that worked for you. Just check your plugs and see how its running now. I ended up leaning out the needle a little from what toomey sad. I forget what clip postion I have though
Infamous039
I checked my plugs and they look good. I will take it out this weekend to open it up for sure.
Infamous039
Ok now one of my carbs is leaking fuel out of the bottom oveflow tube. I took the carb apart and replaced the float seat and the float needle with a brand new one. I also bent the little tab on the float just a little bit. Does adjusting the float without the measuring tool, risk the chance of leaning out and blowing the engine????????
Infamous039
Ok, now the bike idles fine, but when I rev the throttle to full quickly it begins to bog. When i rev iit up to full slowely it will not bogg but rev out cleanly. What is the cause of this and what do I need to change to get it run smoothly. My jetting is currently at 310mains, 25pilot, Needle 4th clip down, Air Screw 1.5 turns out. Stock Carbs with TORS Removed and slides installed properly. Please give some advice. hercalmighty
Hey man. Check and make sure your floats are set right and that both carbs are the same. Also check that your choke tube is connected. Maybe lean out your needle jet 1 clip if all else checks out
Infamous039
Yea my choke tube is on, I checked that. Leaning out the needle would be one clip up right??? Also my airbox is there but with no lid, prodesign filter set-up. Should my mains be at about a 290 jet????
