differentstrokes Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 Bought a new ride about 3 weeks ago, couldn't resist after looking at these things and drooling for 6 months. It's an 08 KTM 525XC. I added some powermadds w/ the wraparound guards and a full set of Maxxis Razr2's even though these things come stock with regular Razr's and a ton of other stuff. The cdi has two different curves preset from the factory so I bought the optional KTM handlebar mounted switch so you can select the "hot" or detuned curve on the fly. This is the fastest stock quad I have ever ridden, period...they claim 53hp stock for the 525xc and that's high for a 4 stroke. I can't stress how much torque this thing has. Anyways, here it is... I think the best looking new generation quad is stil the yfz450, first one of the bunch. but that ktm looks like it has bite behind the bark. and word has it that ktm is gonna dominate the gncc series this year. differentstrokes Posted March 16, 2008 Author Report Posted March 16, 2008 I've actually got a pretty big ride planned next weekend and if all works out right, I can run it against both Raptors (660/700) and 450R, LTR, YFZ, Predator, etc. There's no telling who else will be out there, but it's 4000 acres of all fast wide trails and long steep hills and we have a blast everytime. I'll try to get the guys on utilities to handle the camcorder for me (the same guys who manage the beer and grills).lol Quote
