differentstrokes Posted March 18, 2008 Author Report Posted March 18, 2008 Everyone is in luck, my friend down the road has a Raptor 700SE just like "theshee" has. He's riding with me Saturday, maybe I can get a camera jockey to film me and him run them a few times. The Raptor is a sweet ride, I've rode his around some but it doesn't have the torque the KTM has IMO. It's slightly heavier too, but he weighs 175 or so and I'm a good 210lbs so it'll even out I guess. Quote
Michael Jackson Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 (edited) the raptor is alot heavier, i was just readin a comparison in ATv sport the other day, they had the pooplaris 525, ktm 525 and raptor 700, they weighed them all with the right amount of oil in them and only 1 gallon of gas in each: raptor 700=428 lbs, pooplaris=391, ktm=368, 60 pounds lighter is a huge difference! the ktm sounds like its gona be one nasty quad, all these tests they did though all 3 were pretty dam close, they are talkin about tenths , in some cases hundredths of a second in 0-60 runs and 660 foot races and stuff like that, so maybe you can give us an unbiased opinion, we all know how the magazines arnt always 100% truthful Edited March 19, 2008 by Michael Jackson Quote
differentstrokes Posted March 29, 2008 Author Report Posted March 29, 2008 (edited) My friend with the Raptor700 ended up dropping out at the last minute, but I did get some good hillclimb video footage. The problem is that my friend that was recording clicked on the tape setting on the handycam instead of the memory card setting and now I don't know how to transfer the tape video to my computer. If anyone knows what I need to do, please let me know. Edited March 29, 2008 by differentstrokes Quote
