i dont have any where i can go and open the shee up wot to dial in my jets without getting caught by the police or property owners....not close by at least and dont have access to a dyno so i was wondering if i lifted the rear end and supportrd it real well or straped it down on a lift and raised it in the air could/would it work?....going through the gears wot in the air like that, would it damage/hurt something on the shee????

you need resistance or load on the engine to get an accurate reading on the plugs. don't try running it with the rear end jacked up.

Well said...aside from being dangerous and "Jackass part 3" worthy....LOL.

Seriously...you're better off and safer not trying that...

If you give us your list of mods, elevation, riding temps, etc. We can probably get you safely close. If all else fails, go rich. Worst thing that is gonna happen is foul a 4 dollar set of plugs....

Come on, there is nothing better than putting your banshee through the garage door... :wallbash:

Seriously though, that is not a good idea and the engine must have a load on it to accurately check the plugs at WOT, as stated above.

ok....i figured it needed a load to do corectly but wasent sure.....well my mods are as follows....t5 pipes, v force3 reeds, boss billit intake, 28mm pwk's, stock air box w/ k&n filter and no lid, cool head w/20 cc domes, dyna ign. set @#3, runninig 50/50 race/pump gas at sea level @ around 50 degress....so what do you think?

Should be safely rich.

48 to 52 pilots. 148 to 152 mains.

You'll have to fine tune from there....once you can ride it somewhere...

On the bigger carbs for gas, CEL is a good needle. However, I'm unsure on the smaller carbs.
