powder can also be recovered/recycled if you build a proper coating cabiniet! almost the same as blast media. BUT you need to change the filters between colors because some polymers dont mix. (along with the simple fact that mixed colors change final colors duh) sorry for jackin your other thread man haha

They don't mix, but they make a really cool color of their own. I put all my reclaimed colors togetehr and have a wierd color to coat shit that you'll never see.

The reason I started to coat was because I had an oven I didn't want to haul to the dump. I went and bought a cheap gun ($50) and some crap powder and tried it out. I did a shit load of random shit then bought nice powders and started doing important shit. The nicer guns are worth the money, but if you want to get started the harbor frieght guns work just fine. I also have a sand blaster and I built a spray booth that re-claims.

What are you guys using for ovens? For frames and such.

there is another pc post i think in the appearance section, meat had a link to an over a guy built. has a track and a dolly thing to hold frames and what not. might ocst a little to build but once your done you got a very nice setup that you could cure anything pretty much

you just use a shop vac on your spray booth carl?

I use a shop vac that pulls through a house a/c filter, that way all my powder is caught on the filter and is easily re-claimed or disposed of. The filter also slows and diapates the air flow so it doesn't suck too much. I think it cost me $15 to build and is worth ten times that when it is time to clean up.

I think there are some pics of it in my other thread, if not I can post some up.
