man i was just thinking, if you said it was never maintaned, could it just be condensation from never being changed?? if not my guess will be the water pump seal. and DO NOT BUY A MODQUAD IMPELLER!! spend the extra 10 bucks or so and get the prodesign.. i made the mistake of getting the modquad impeller.. it could have destroyed my engine if i didn't have the temp gauge..

Condensation could be the problem also since the dipstick was not fitting correctly. Somehow it became distorted, so I bought a billet replacement for that.

I need to look into it deeper. I have a pile of parts that I will eventually get to put on, but the weather has been really crappy for awhile, so I am waiting until things dry up and warm up.

The seller said "it needs nothing, everythings been redone and is 100%" At least I know everything will be right when im done with it.

Im just starting to feel like I will be passing it down to my kids to ride....cause I'll be too old by then!

Ok, so the clutch cover comes off. I am going to buy a new clutch cover gasket, a pro design billet impeller and.....?

Can somebody give me the complet parts list for this maintanance, or do they have a rebuild kit that would contain all the parts I would need?

I appreciate all the help guys, more than you can ever know.

other than the gasket and billet impeller, the parts you need are going to be from a yammy shop only. you won't find anything aftermarket. this is from an online microfiche parts diagram and part list

Was the coolant even low? If the radiator is full and hasn't had antifreeze/water added to it it may not be the seal..just water getting in around the dipstick.

HOWEVER, replacing the seal would still be an easy, inexpensive task.

Also..water/antifreeze cannott enter the transmission from the water plugs leaking on the cylinders. It could probably enter the crankshaft area of the crankcase, but tranny oil and this area should never contact each other (unless there is a bad crank seal on the clutch side of the motor..but that is not the cause of your current problem)
